Elizabeth (Alaska) This edition is missing a pub date:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...

so I accessed the Amazon page to get that detail. (Amazon gives as 11/20/2010)

However, notice that the Amazon page has a different cover:

http://www.amazon.com/Pleasures-Edge-...

Is the policy/practice to use the date associated with the cover, or to apply the published date to both, or ...? (I'll be making an ACE for this cover, but want to fill in as many details as possible while I'm there.)

Arenda | 26447 comments The ACE should have the date the new cover was published, which is difficult to determine in this case, as Amazon keeps the original publication date of the Kindle edition even when the cover is changed.

For this book, there is a paperback edition with the new cover and 2012 as publication year: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1..., so I'd use 2012 for the ACE also.

The original Kindle edition should get 11/20/2010.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thank you, that's what I wanted to do in this case, but wanted to clarify because I don't come across this often enough!

Also the added info about Amazon not updating pub dates for Kindles is very helpful!

While this is usually true, I think the author may have the option of changing it. I have seen the occasional example where that seems to be the case. But they are rare.
