Sasha Does this mean Ryan was jo's half brother???
How was she miraculously absolved of Frank's murder is the end?
a lot of unanswered questions and plot holes!!

Thao Kim I also was curious about this!

Hijinx Abound I took it to mean that Ryan is her 1/2 brother. I'm not sure that I remember how she was absolved of the murder. It wasn't that memorable for me.

Sierra Mitchell Yes-- Ryan is her half brother. I really don't think that her role in Frank's death was addressed. However, I just figured that the detectives in her hometown assumed that she ran due to her identity issues, not because she killed him.

Susan SPOILER!?!

Calista What's everyone's opinion on why Ryan lied in the first place? Like the only explanation is because he chose family over her but they'd planned to run away together anyway so most normal people would just tell the truth. Even in one of his emails he says "I would do the same thing again" even though he's really guilty and "still loves her". Idk to me this was the one part that never really made sense

sublimosa He was weak and therefore easy prey for his family to manipulate.

Thao Kim Agreed with siblimosa. He was weak, I didn't see it as anything else.

Donna j Cusimano Why did you think the ending gave a reason for her mother to go along with the Olivers? Other than the mother was having an affair with Roland? Or they wanted to separate Ryan and Nora. Makes me hate the mother more! What a weak woman.

p davies The mother chose a man over her child - shocking.
Yes Ryan was her half brother and was weak and she got away with Franks murder .

Wise Cat I ended up giving this 4 stars because I didn't like how Ryan/Logan turned out to be Nora's half-brothers. And what a detestable "mother" to choose Roland over her own daughter. And to send her on the run.

It does have some unexplained things, such as how Blue got away with killing 2 (?) men and Nora also killed....did she really have to kill Reggie? I know it was self-defense but she could have shot him in the foot or something so he can't run after her.

I don't think Nora killed Frank but was a suspect in it. I think she ran not just because of that but also the false accusation of murder of her two classmates. She was accused of being the driver that forced the other car off the bridge. It was Logan. Ryan was in the back seat.

If I recall correctly, she married Frank after she had already been running for years.

I still found this to be a page-turning, psychological thriller with a pace that kept going. Every page had something going on. Not a dull moment, that's for sure. I found Domenic a bit boring and didn't see his purpose in the whole story.

This book reminded me of the movie "Thelma and Louise", as I expected Blue and Nora to go on the run together.

Ryan ruined Nora's life, when he claimed SHE ruined HIS. He LIED because he's weak, period. And he wasn't even grateful that she SAVED his life. Should have let him drown. On that note, I'm glad Logan got the death he was asking for, and in the same place where he committed murder earlier. Poetic justice.....

I felt like I was on the run with her, as it was so vividly written. I know I'd never have that kind of courage, and it took a lot of courage. And living off the grid is nearly impossible these days. Before tech, it was easier to change your identity.
