Robert M. Price is a christian theologist. I guess most people here aren't that interested in theology and religion, but Price's education and knowledge surely play a role when it comes to the other field of study he is notable for: H. P. Lovecraft scholarship and the editing of Cthulhu mythos anthologies. So far his background in theology was most notable in The Necronomicon: Selected Stories and Essays Concerning the Blasphemous Tome of the Mad Arab. The anthologies edited and commented by him are not only of outstanding high quality, the sheer quantity is also outstanding. He is also the creator and host of the podcast The Lovecraft Geek:

His own fiction was collected in the volume Blasphemies & Revelations.

Right now I'm busy with collecting & reading his bibliography. His theological works seem to be interesting as well (he describes himself as a christian skeptic and atheist), but what puzzles me is the fact that his works and efforts in Lovecraftiana aren't even mentioned in some language versions of his Wikipedia article.

GracieKat | 195 comments It sounds really interesting. I'd love to get another take on Lovecraft other than S.T. Joshi, who, frankly, annoys me.

I guess the point with S. T. Joshi is that he can be a very caustic critic at times. I haven't encountered that kind of criticism in Price's writings yet. He appears to be much more mild minded than Joshi.
