Welcome Natasha - you will find this an excellent group of readers but be warned, your TBR pile will grow quickly!!!

I'm a teacher by day, but I also write fantasy and sci fi whenever I can get the time!

Welcome Amelina! If you are looking for great Canadian fiction, you have definitely come to the right place!!

I'm Jordan from Scarborough. As a geologist, I've worked all over Canada, from The Yukon, to the interior BC, Sask, and Northern Ont.
I'm also a new author!
The Shaman's Carving

My new novella just came out on Amazon, 'Free' with Kindle Unlimited or $1.49.

Thank you all for your time :)
Welcome Jordan - this is a great place where we share CanLit. We do have a separate thread for sharing our blogs, book clubs and links in our general discussion - congrats on the novella.
I am sure that you will find many great suggestions for reading here too!

Welcome Pauline - you will find your TBR pile growing with this group! Wow - it sure is cold where you are - the perfect time for a book!

I'm newly active on GoodReads and found your group while exploring. I live in Toronto, where I create art and dabble in writing and spend time looking after and enjoying our grandsons (two, almost three and almost five). I blog and belong to a memoir writing group at our local library, and in the summer I sail as much as possible with my husband. And I've spent time in the Maritimes, and highly recommend traveling there!

Welcome Sharon - you are in good company as the second Sharon we have welcomed this week. Enjoy!

I'm Tess. I'm from Ontario, and I enjoy reading fantasy novels, mysteries, classics, non-fiction (history and science, mostly), humour, and poetry.

Welcome Jan! We have a few members from BC and are happy to have you join. You will find great discussions on CanLit here! Feel free to add your blog link to our "helpful blogs..." thread.

Great to meet you here Cynthia!! Book Crossing is one of the things I need to learn more about as I think it might be nice to incorporate with my LFL.

Welcome Jenna! I hope that you enjoy the bingo and we have a thread dedicated to Indigenous authors/books. I will check out your blog and we have a thread for you to add that link to as well. :)

I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, home of Smith Island Cake and lovely blue crabs. Salisbury University is my work-home and this is what has kept me so busy lately. We've gone through a complete reorganization of my department and just this month I was promoted! I still won't have much time for reading and posting, but I did miss the conversations here and want to do a better job keeping up.
Right now I'm reading Louise Penny's A Great Reckoning and am loving it! I look forward to being more involved again.
Welcome (again) Catherine! I hope that you do find some time to read and you will find many suggestions here!

Thank you! I'm working on carving out the reading time.

I'm a Toronto science & social justice writer & author of one of the non-fiction books on the Globe 100 list (the skinniest one; it's called Opium Eater: The New Confessions). I'm also an ardent reader of both fiction and non-fiction. Very pleased to be here. Happy New Year to all.
Carlyn
