Kelly Johnson | 50 comments A Librarian deferred me to the Feedback group, as it relates to placing a GR button on my website.

The matter is that while I see HTML coding for the two widget types, I don't see the web coding to copy and paste for any of the button sizes.

Please advise.

Jaclyn (jaclyn_w) | 417 comments Kelly, you'll have to edit those dimensions in the html code itself.

Hey, Jaclyn. Editing code is not a problem. Where is the code to edit, or am I blind? :)

The codes I am seeing are for two widgets types. The first looks like an elongated button and the other is a "book" widget. What I was looking for was the code for the more square button(s) with the "g", or are they the first widget?

...And apparently one would have to modify the code of the first widget.

As it looks to me, the more square "g" buttons and two elongated "add book" buttons at the top of the widget page of this site can be copied or saved as images to one's computer. If one is skilled with coding, then the button images can be used as a hyperlink on a webpage, to jump back to goodreads.

I simply modified the first widget code offered, as to change the "src" path to my server's, where I uploaded the saved button image, and strip it of its "script". Then I coded CSS for the class (ID of the container) as to place the image of the button on my page.

Though I think a 3rd code should be made available for the laymen of HTML\CSS, it's all good.

Jaclyn (jaclyn_w) | 417 comments Sorry Kelly, I didn't realize you were talking about the button images. I'm happy to see you found a solution above!

I've had a look and I agree that these could use some clarification on the Author Widgets page. Will definitely let the team know. :)

It's all good, Jaclyn. Let me know if the team wants to see my codes.
