Zaz | 2969 comments Have a look at this list for the novella, maybe you'll find something that is interesting:

For #29, Stephen King is fine and there is a lot of choice. JK Rowling can also be a nice option if you're interested in joining the group book of the month for April :)

Stephanie (cozyuptocrime) | 58 comments Still somewhat on track...although I've had to edit my list a lot because sometimes the books I originally picked are hard to get a hold of (trying to use library books as much as possible), or I start the book and realize there's no way I will want to finish it. I have no time in my life for forcing myself to read books I'm not enjoying.

Books read so far: 36/52

Only 16 more books to go!

Yay, I'm back on track! Currently reading:

Firelight (Darkest London, #1) by Kristen Callihan for a book about an anti-hero. Seeing as how the hero has a murdering doppelganger and everyone calls him the "Dread Lord Archer" I figured this would work.

Next up:

Outlander (Outlander #1) by Diana Gabaldon for top 100 fantasy books and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott for a childhood classic

Soooo close!!!!

Currently reading:
Outlander for top 100 fantasy novels...it is soooo good that I'm taking my time reading the some 850 pages so we'll see if I can complete the other books in time!

Up next:
Little Women for a childhood classic
Out for a book written in a language other than English (Japanese)

Hopefully I can complete those next week then finish my last two books over the Christmas weekend when I have some extra days off to read.

I may actually complete my list after all!

message 8: by MJ (new)

MJ | 957 comments That' amazing! If I read almost a book a day, I'll make it!

message 9: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (cozyuptocrime) | 58 comments Little Women is taking longer than I thought it would to read, so I'm a book behind. I have no idea how I read that book as a child, it's so long (but good)! We'll see if I can finish that and three other books by the end of the challenge....

Currently reading: Little Women and Out

Reading next: Gothic Tales for short stories by a well-known author and Norwegian Wood for a book about mental illness. For some reason I've been putting off the Murakami for awhile and I'm not sure why.

message 10: by MJ (new)

MJ | 957 comments I have not been able to finish Norwegian Wood! I gave up on it earlier this year.... but I should really pick it up again. Looking forward to what your thoughts are. Sorry if I put a damper on it!

Zaz | 2969 comments Maybe you read the cut version as a kid (I know I did, I read the uncut version only this year, some parts were very boring).
I hope you'll succeed to read your last books in time, you're so near the 52 goal :)

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments I loved Norwegian Wood - I hope you do too.

I felt bad that it is a lot more boring than I remember!

A little bit! The holiday festivities made it a little hard to find reading time, but I'm gonna try to finish my last three books this weekend :)
