Addicted to YA discussion

Hey guys ! I am currently seaching for a book but I forgot the title... and the author.. I'm sorry ahha !

The story as far as I can remember is something like this : A boy (teen) goes to a good school and one day he goes on the beach with some of his classmates. He discover a really little house. A little boy and an old guy (I think) lives in it, I think the old dude used to work on the sea... The guy from the school starts to get closer to the younger one and kinda falls in love with him. When the old one dies, the young one gets very sick blabla, the guy then takes care of him... SPOILER
he starts thinking that he is gay and all to finally discover, while taking care of 'him' that 'it is' a girl who's been abandonned.
On the french cover that I had, it was only the upper face. You would see a brown bang (hair) with some pretty blue eyes and some freckles. PLEASE HELP MEEE :) ! Have a good day !
