Dear Librarians,

A while ago I updated my cover, which resulted in a second edition to show up on goodreads. I've manually made my second cover the default cover which has correctly run through the system.

This has been a few weeks now, but I'm annoyed by the fact my author dashboard cover in the top-right corner does not update to the new cover at all.

Is there something that can be done about this? :)

Your author dashboard will show the original cover, that can't be changed. You are the only one who can see your dashboard, though.

I see you have been changing ISBNs and ASINs around. What is the new cover supposed to be? The blue one shown in the title of this topic?

Yes the blue one showing at the top is the most current cover. I think I was not suppose to switch things around, as I got an email about it this week. But all should be restored now I think.

ASIN was still the same though or does Amazon give a new ASIN when you upload version 2 of your book?
The first edition did not have a ISBN yet, which is why I tried to add / switch it

Your author page shows the current blue cover as default, so that is good.

Are they both Kindle editions? Kindle editions are only registered with their ASIN on GR, not with an ISBN. Or was this book also published as a (non-Amazon) ebook?

Unfortunately they don't. A cover change should be reason for a new ISBN or ASIN, but Amazon and many (especially mass-market-paperback) publishers don't bother.

The blue cover was released with my 2nd edition (beginning of March) as it marked the completion of my official editing round. It is now released in mobi and epub, still working on the paperback.

Each version has it's own ISBN, where the mobi only received its ISBN with the launch of the 2nd edition and new cover, before that it only had the ASIN.

I think this whole thing is a bit of a mess. I'll start a new topic to get things sorted. This can be closed/deleted to prevent double work.
