Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

Ok my fellow book lovers, I have been out of the loop for awhile and now I am in need of my fix..lol I am looking something a bit specific so I hope someone can help. I want a "sit you on the edge of you seat story" with an HEA and sort of slow burn romance. You know the "I want you but I don't want you kind" or "I want you but can't have you". I don't want sweet romance. I want it dirty, complicated or dark. Taboo would also work. Alpha male all the way..lol Some else recommended Corrupt and that is exactly what I am looking for. Can be PNR, contemporary, new adult, sci-fi but has to have HEA already available. I really hope you all can help me. Thank you in advance.

You may well have read this but the Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series may work for you... The HEA is through the series, not resolved in the first book though.

I've recently finished two books that fit your criteria. both beautiful reads, both from the same author surprisingly. Wanting to Remember, Trying to Forget - this is part of a series, but a standalone. it has uphills and downhills, humour, its steamy and it fits your slow burn and "i want you, but can't have you" criteria. and its HEA. Although he's not an alpha male. He's just so loveable. The next is The Journal. its complicated, fits the "i want you but don't want you" criteria, but a beautiful piece of literature. Its very sad. So don't expect to have the HEA you want. but the emotions engulf you and stay with you long after you've finished.

There's also the Consequences Series Consequences. Thats book one. This entire series has twists and turns. the first book is extremely dark and some points you actually cringe. you love and hate the male lead. but its a very great story overall

Hi Jamie I have just finished Mister O and Confessions of a Bad Boy they are the "I want you but can't have you" kind of books with hot hot hot sex and the kind of ending that would melt your heart. Hope you like them ox
