I also think I will be reading The Arabian Nights

Thanks Brenda!
I see you only gave it 3 stars... fingers crossed I find it enjoyable!
I enjoyed the film much more, from memory. But if I read it now, who knows - I could enjoy it much more:)

Title: A Woman Among Warlords: The Extraordinary Story of an Afghan Who Dared to Raise Her Voice
Author: Photographs in the Mud
Ave Rating: Varieties of Feminist Liberalism
Date Added: Daughter of the Blood
Random: In the Shadow of Death
The problem is I have no money to get them from book depository (and if I did I would be getting the 86 books on my "read next" subshelf first. So I can only do this if I can find them at a library. But little old Adelaide is a bit limiting...So...if any Adelaide peeps can LEND me one of the ones on my list that would be wonderful. Otherwise I will still try if I can...

Review soon...
Started on my 2nd chice right away: My Name is Leon ....very moving so far :(
Great start Jools! I've almost finished my first - and I'll be devastated when I do! A Tattooed Heart is soooo good!

I know, I have been itching to read the first one and couldn't put it down! :D this is a good challenge for me as I can clear some galley books.

Excellent! Though I knew it would be, just like the others... ♫ I still have it ♫ ;))
I've been putting it off as I haven't wanted the series to end...but it's about to! You will love it Jools!

What a shame it will be ending, still I know Deborah Challinor will come up with something else...equally as good ;)

#4. Sort by Date Added: Cambodia Noir by Nicholas Seeley
This was just great!
Highly recommended reading for lovers of a well executed (no pun intended) darkly compelling mystery. 5★s

My review (a little diffi..."
STOP!
I just finished Book 2 Girl of Shadows and then read the very first part of your review for Book 4 and you mentioned something that must be going to happen in Book 3!
I have got Book 3, The Silk Thief, ready to go, but I'm going to have to avoid reviews for A Tattooed Heart for a while, I guess.
Nothing personal if I don't "like" them yet. I'll have to enjoy them later when I won't risk being surprised.

Lol, that's why I have avoided reading it yet, just in case :)
I haven't put any spoilers for A Tattooed Heart into the review BUT for those who haven't read the previous book/s it's obviously very difficult!

Yes it's very difficult to write a review for the third or fourth book in a series without making reference to the story, so always best to avoid reviews if planning to read them ;)
I look forward to reading your review after I've read it Brenda...soon :)

We are lucky that we have so many choices in the meantime, I think you will enjoy The Soldier's Curse which is the beginning of a new series to look forward to :)

The Amber Trail by M.J. Kelly
I have this one waiting on my kindle Mike :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound critical, Brenda, especially since I did much the same thing in my review of the 2nd book. :) But I must remember to follow Julie's advice and wait. My fault entirely!

I finished my second, and started my third.

No that's alright Patty - I understand. The way this series is written; completely reliant on the previous for back story - makes each book most definitely not standalones, and therefore difficult to review the further in you get!

5★ for The Kite Runner, a debut at the time for Khaled Hosseini.
Frightening, eye-opening but warm story of Afghan boys, one rich, one servant, and life before and after the Taliban. I learned a lot and I needed to. Fantastic.
