Sebastian was made a vampire on his eighteenth birthday by his mother, whom he thought had died ten years before.
For years, he struggled to accept what he had become, while his mother forbade him from killing humans.
Almost two centuries later, his mother is killed, and he blames humans.
Sebastian went on a killing spree to avenge his mother, then one night, he comes across a baby whom he had just killed her mother.
He couldn't bring himself to kill the child and decides to raise her as his own but he knew he couldn't be with her.
Sebastian finds her foster parents and disappeared from her life to better himself while still providing for her anonymously for seventeen years. Although Hanna is out of his life, Sebastian can’t get her out of his head. When he returned to see her, she had grown into a beautiful woman and his love for her grew.
He finds now that he didn't love her as a father but as a lover.
He struggled to find his way into her life and plans an “accidental” meeting, which does not go well. Before Sebastian leaves Hanna once again he discovers that there were other creatures after her as well and it was now up to him to keep her safe.
