We at Eye-Books.com love Africa! We have a 20 year history of publishing, and our favoured genre has been travel writing. It so happens that many of our authors have concentrated on the great continent of Africa.
To give a sample of the range:
Green Oranges on Lion Mountain
Morgan Tsvangirai: At the Deep End
Squirting Milk at Chameleons: An Accidental African
Zohra's Ladder and Other Moroccan Tales
Or have a go at our Africa quiz https://www.goodreads.com/quizzes/111...
Please come in and take a look

Check out the Tour d'Afrique, our longest running project that has seen us travel right across the African continent since 2008. Every two months, we visit a new country and read a book from or set in said country. Find our more in the Tour d'Afrique folders. Here is where we solicit recommendations for each tour stop and here is where we discuss the books. In 2016 we are visiting South Sudan, Republic of Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, and Tunisia.
After a reasonably successful attempt at featuring one country's literature for an entire year, we decided to do it again in 2016. By poll choice, we are featuring Kenya. I have set up a schedule of authors for each month and opened a challenge to join if challenges suit your fancy.
Here is the schedule of authors:
February: M.G. Vassanji
March: Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o
April: Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor
May: Lily Mabura
June: Wangari Maathai
July: Grace Ogot
August: Mukoma Wa Ngugi
September: Meja Mwangi
October: Cynthia Salvadori
November: Warsan Shire
December: Binyavanga Wainaina
In addition to these regular projects, we have a folder for our member authors to engage readers, promote their work, and avoid spamming our threads.
Or if you want to just discuss any book to do with Africa, feel free to do that in the Great African Reads: Books section.
Please shout out for further clarification if you're not sure where to post stuff or how to find things! :)
