Im not really sure what I can say about Merit & Ethan but holy cow WOW!!! I know that when I picked up this series to read that I need to slate a day without interruptions just so I can finish. I love this series. This one did not disappoint & I love the fact that the author ties some of what has happened in the past to what the current storyline is. But CN does it with out it being boring or long winded. This book was crazy for the beginning....vampires, werewolves, dark magic etc. I seriously can not wait to read the next book in this series soon.

There is a rogue Fae killing innocent human kids, Lucas's sister Kellen is missing, Secret is recovering from being jilted at the altar by Lucas, Mercy McQueen is trying to take over Lucas's territory with some rogue werewolves, Secret also owes Holden a night of lurve and Desmond is avoiding her. Life isn't fun anymore.

Looking for Kellen leads to the Fae lands and gives Desmond lots of trouble so close to the full moon. Secret & Holden finally get together but was it them or was it the Fae King, Aubrey's doing?

Secret McQueen has always had a tricky life being half vampire & half werewolf, all whilst looking 100% human. So is it any wonder she's always wanted to be human and get away from the vampire politics of being one of the Tribunal Leaders, or to get away from being the Werewolf Queen and bonded to Lucas, the asshat. Well she gets a taste of that and it isn't all its cracked up to be.

There were a couple of continuity problems but nothing too major. Looking forward to the next one.

I have read & re read this book(series) at least about 50 times all for the last book - I made it through the one time the weekend that it was first published but have put off re-reading because it was so sad. However, I love HP - everything about this book just makes me want to read it again. I ususally re-read the books every year or so & I still enjoy it.
If you havent tried the books you might try the audio because Jim Dale is awesome as narrator & he does all of the books.

Review:
I'm not really sure what to say, except . . . Dastien. Sigh. For him, I would consider being a werewolf. It's not creepy that he's only 20, because I'm Twenty Something. It says so right in the team name. Dastien continues to be my favorite thing about this series. And Tessa is getting over her whininess. Which I didn't really mind in the first few books, because, hey, she was bit by a werewolf!

One thing I noticed in this book, which I didn't notice in the previous books until I re-read them, is that the climatic battle is . . . anti-climatic. It is feels a bit rushed.

This book could have used more of Claudia and Lucas. Possibly because I just finished reading Claudia's story, I really wanted more Lucas. And with the next book focusing on Meredith and Donovan, we probably won't get much more Lucas. :(

Shelf: Strong Heroines

Review: So I initially read this back in 2013. I continued to love this series all the way to the end last year. I don't know why I re-reads books some times. I find myself not in awe of them as my first read around. I gave it 3.75 stars but rounded up. I questioned myself and why I liked Nora after reading this again. I mean from the first moment, I love this confident woman who owned her sexuality and owned everything she did. She was unapologetic for wanting things and doing things considered the norm for us vanilla folks. I loved the writing it was never by issue, or the huge dose of religion trope but it's what makes the series magical imo. Reading it again, I'm definitely of sound mind and body that I wanted Kingsley and Soren together from beginning to end. Nora almost feels like a filler post when it comes to these two. I want to read the Angel because it's a favorite of mine in the series, but probably won't pick it up for a few months when the dust clears from my disapproval of this one.

Will be back with review.

I loved the Vampire Academy series so I was excited for this branch off of that storyline & I have to say it has been just as good up to this 3rd book. I love Sydney - she's smart & sweet but at the same time she is tough. I so want her & Adrian to work thru their social barriers (it is has more to do with Sydney than with Adrian). So looking forward to the next book in the series.

If you like Vikings & Norse mythology you need to read this series. The level of snark & wackiness is upped from book one The Unleashing and that's saying something. SL is an autobuy for me, there is just something about her writing that I love.

Jace Berisha is one of Skuld's Crows, now that her cult-leader husband killed her. She is multilingual and Skuld gives her berserker rage as her gift. She's always loved learning and books and is a huge introvert. Jace prefers calm & quiet so she can read. I'm sure we've all been there.

Ski Eriksen, is a Tyr Protector (owls), and the Protectors are the keepers of the word ie they have the biggest library. Ski needs help translating some Russian books and Jace needs a job according to Chloe the head LA Crow. It isn't long before all the Protectors appreciate Jace, but its Ski that can't live without her.

As we learnt at the end of the previous book, there is big trouble coming to LA. And the Crows, Ravens & Protectors will need to work with the rest of the Norse pantheon to get rid of the God Gulliveg before she brings on Ragnarok.

Loved the humour in this one and the fact Ravens & Protectors have their own snark going on, caught myself laughing out loud several times. Cute animals, annoying OCD Protectors, big library, nasty mean grandmother, and a stupid cult leader who believes his own hype. Not to mention vikings being vikings, and lots of battles.

I love SL as well Sandra. I owe everything by her. I read the UL and DNF. I couldn't believe I did it, but it wasn't connecting with me and it was humor. I didn't care for the Norse revamped that she did. I loved Hunting Season and wish that same formula was with book one of that series. It's the first time she's had a book out that I didn't go auto-buy already. I'm a little sad because I wish she was working on another shifter book.

Well, I liked #1, but didn't think it was as good as Hunting Season. A lot of the reviews said this one was much better than #1, so maybe give this one a try.

Kera & Vig are in it and probably benefit from just being secondary characters. The standoffs between Vig & Ski were hilarious.

We'll see. It's not something I'm dying to read you know?

Review:
Ten different paranormal and urban fantasy stories galore. I'd never read a few of these authors. Certain people like Ginn Hale stood out for me. I loved her fantasy story, it was different then anything I ever read. Rhys Ford is a favorite of mine and this story featuring Roku was no different. I learned she was doing a full length novel on his story. Another favorite was Jordan L. Hawk Hex World Story, I was dying to read it seeing as I have the arc for the first one in the story. Rook is a standout character. Jordan Castillo Price brought back Vic and Jacob and it makes me miss the Psycop series. I really need to read the last book in that series. A few were miss for me, but overall I loved the concept and execution each author created.

This shelf call is seriously messing with my plans to catch up next week. I've got Bingo games going in 3 different groups right now, and next week is my week to catch up. But they aren't playing well together! However, I have been wanting to re-read , so I'll go with that. And I should be done with my Urban Fantasy book tomorrow.

I hate this shelf more then any one of the others.

I love Wen Spencer's books! This won't even be the second time through for me. I think it's the 3rd. And she's one of those active authors on Facebook, as well. She posts snippets from a book as she's writing it. I'm so glad you she got a publishing deal for the book she's posting about. It's going to be sooooo good!
