Review: I actually read this before I ever got on Goodreads. I completely forgot most of it and it came back while reading this. I liked this take on the shifters and the fae. I enjoyed Kim and Liam and really do plain on continuing the series. I loved the whole injustice of a shifter being a monster, but not having the complete tools to do the crime. Looking forward to book two soon.

I've got quite a few of the Shifters Unbound series but haven't got around to reading them yet. Glad you liked it.

If we complete the sci-fi romance and the hunter shelf then we'd be one away from bingo. Or whenever that shelf would get called.

Review:
Let me just start by saying how happy I am that (view spoiler)[Sydney and Adrian finally got together! But I do have a few problems with it. I don't see how they can manage to be together long-term. And they just made Jill break-up with Micah because he's human. I don't see Sydney's Alchemist/witch status making a difference there. So I guess we'll probably see the whole world turned upside down by the end of the series, just like in Vampire Academy. But at least they're together for now. That's all that really matters, right? (hide spoiler)]
And there were bad guys, magic, and lots of driving around.

Another over-the-top exciting adventure in Kitty Land.

As always there are plots within plots and more plots.

This picks up directly after the last book (view spoiler)[ where Jeff is the new President, Kitty is the new FLOTUS (first lady of the United States) and lots of others get the new and improved jobs, like Chuckie being the head of the CIA, rather than just the head of the alien division of the CIA (hide spoiler)] and the middle east peace talks are scheduled for Camp David.

We have an angry Stephanie, androids going berserk, spooky insane asylum, and a tentacle weilding superbeing, not to mention new aliens and invisible tech.

Love this series.

So I'm disappointed in this installment. Well not the story per say, I guess Vaughn disappointed me. In book one he was extremely broody, and a loner but had this huge chip on his shoulder. Yet in this one, his personality is completely different. He did not fit the idea in my head of what he was going to be and do. Another thing is how many bloody damn times do you gotta tell someone to not to touch you!! Jeez, I was waiting for Faith to get some common sense and electrocute him way before she zapped him. Things are definitely moving along in the plot for the series. The PSY has some really crazy people, and I kinda want to see a few come to there demise. Call it blood thirsty if you want to!!

Wow, it had been a little while since I read the previous League book & i've been asking myself Why? Darling & Zarya were amazing in the book - I loved every minute of the story. It's always nice when you have new characters interacting with the old.
There was a lot going on in this book so many details on all levels. Im looking forward to reading the next book in the series soon.

Yay! I should have my favorite series book finished today. The lovely ladies at my library worked their magic to get it for me longer. :)

We've got 3 libraries within 10 minutes of us, but we always go to the smallest one. They are so helpful and nice. And a bunch of Southern California libraries are linked, so I can get tons of books, even when they don't have them.

That's a definite plus! I struggle to get pnr/uf books, though it is getting slowly better.

I have noticed that a lot of those come from just one or two libraries, which are several hours away from me. So I'm very grateful for the library network!

Review:

I went into this with pretty low expectations. I just figured it would be Mercy Thompson with no electricity. I don't know why I doubted Brigg's ability to write both Paranormal and a more true Fantasy, but I did doubt. And she proved me wrong!

The world building here was very well done. Enough was explained in the beginning to satisfy me, and then more was slowly revealed. It was well written and I can't wait to read the next book.

My only complaint is something that I have noticed in the Mercy books as well. There is a lot of build up to the final conflict, but the final conflict itself is over in little more than a page. I do like a good fight scene in my SciFi/Fantasy books!

When's the new shelf called? I know it was 4:30 my time, but I can't remember how much it got moved up. I'm just about ready to start a book, but what if it would work here? Oh the problems of a Goodreads challenge addict! :)

I absolutely love this series. I re-read when I get the opportunity. Each book has a life lesson & I think we all learn from Harry's trials & tribulations. I look forward to re-reading the next book in the series soon.

Review:

This should have been a 4 star read. But I had to round down because it isn't a series. And it needs to be. It was obviously suppose to be. And while the action is all wrapped up by the end, there are lose threads. And I was not okay with the unanswered questions. If you're not going to answer them, don't raise them!

This is set in the same world as her Hex Hall series, but it is actually quite different. It is told from the other side of the conflict. I enjoyed it, until I realized there was no more.

Also, why did someone shelve this stand-alone book as series-to-start?

I had a look at her website/blog/twitter & it was obviously meant to be a series but somehow she ran into legal trouble. She did say that she might write some more in this world but if so it will be in ebook format.
