Stuck in procrastination mode need help getting out!

Ann, I'm up to working on a new book which is also book one in a new series, thanks to my OCD I am super specific about how I plan out a new book and all the new characters associated with it, so sometimes I find that it just takes me a while to get into it, I think because I don't like naming characters and coming up with physical descriptions for them but it's part of the list of information that has to be done before I can just start writing so I just try to avoid it for as long as possible! Then when I realise that is not a viable option I usually just make myself sit down and start! Unlike some of you guys there's no music for me though, I don't like it (and yes I've been told that makes me weird!) so I always have the TV on with an old DVD I've seen before playing so it doesn't distract me too much, then I sit on my couch with my two Dalmatians being little bookends on either side of me! No coffee either as I don't like it either, so diet coke for me! Then I just make myself write!
Have a super day all!

If it looks somewhat like a bumblebee, it's probably a carpenter bee. The male, which cannot sting, stands guard while the female burrows into whatever wood she can find and lays eggs. Don't mess with the female: she stings.

Sounds like what I've got.
I've got a mild phobia from stepping into a nest as a young child, so I'm a little hyper cautious around them anyway. My instinct is to kill them before I have to find out, but with the hype surrounding colony collapse syndrome, I'm willing to let them live. Besides, they chase away the wasps and yellow jackets and the most devilish of backyard pests, the moths, so I see them a little more positively than I used to.
With carpenter bees you have to watch for holes in any outside woodwork you have. They'll bore perfectly round holes in wooden window casements, porch railings, and even siding. Get rid of them when they start to damage expensive woodwork.

I was starting to think this book was never going to work itself out, but I just kept thinking about it without trying to sit down and actually work on it, and then finally the story just worked itself out in my head, then the planning came easily and now I can't wait to start writing!
Thanks for all the help and encouragement super people!
I've got bees that stand sentry around the yard for some reason. One just hovers near where I sit and if I leave it alone eventually it will eventually drift to within inches of my head.
After dark the opossum and the foxes come out in the woods. When I hear the footsteps I take up the flashlight. The fox isn't scared of me, but it will keep its distance, so when the light falls on it, it simply stops and looks toward it before it continues on its way. On one hand, I'm a little nervous about being so close to a wild animal like that, but the curious part of me starts creeping closer for a better look...
The front and sides of the property have such an expansive view of the sky, I get magnificent views of the clouds when the sun goes down.
I can't wait for it to get even warmer when that constant buzz of the insects fills the sky.
