~ Scavenger Hunt for April ~

RULES: Let’s go go on a Scavenger Hunt for April... Choose from the list below for each letter that spells out April, selecting items from a letter more than once, if you desire. Find these items on your book covers or the word within the book's text. Notice there are colored dresses for each letter, so you could do all of those. Also, there is the Spell-It-Out Option. Or you may do a bit of both!

DURATION: April 1st - 30th, 2016

1-2 - Easy
3-5 - Medium
6-9 - Harder
10 or more - Hardest

Option #2 - Spell-It-Out: Select a word from these items, or one that speaks to you of April, and Spell-It-Out. Read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.).

HELPFUL HINT: how to scan a book for a word, before you buy:

- Go to https://books.google.com/ or http://www.amazon.com/
- Type in the title of a book you might like to read & see if there is a preview available. (Unfortunately, this only works if there is a preview. However, if your book is listed more than once, be sure to try them all, as one may have it.)
- Find your book and click on it.
- Look to the left, and in the search field type in your word. We used "art" below, in the example (purple arrow).

- This is the result. See that "art" is highlighted?:
