Ravenous (War of Nytefall, #5)
by Charles E. Yallowitz
My rating: five out of five stars
This is another excellent addition to this series, which shows some fantastic character development, and has an exciting and action-packed plot. Some delicate
topics - including both grief and addiction - are touched upon in this story, which were handled very well in my opinion. Had life not gotten in the way,
I could have easily devoured this book in one sitting.

The Destruction of Rose (Albany Nightingale Duet, #1)
by Rachel M. Raithby
My rating: five out of five stars
This book was so much more than the highschool romance I went in to it expecting. It's a fantastic read about all the stuff teenagers have to deal with,
including bullying, peer pressure, etc. The characters are believable, even if they're the kind of people I would want as neither friend nor enemy, and
the plot is gripping and full of emotion and drama. I can't wait to read the sequel!

Not So Sweet Maria (Sisters By Marriage #1)
by Jessica Spencer
My rating: four out of five stars
This is a sweet little romance, which makes for a lovely light-hearted read. There were a couple of minor issues, some of which were editing related, and
some of which were character related, but none of which were enough to stop me from considering this an enjoyable read. I'm glad I read this book, and
look forward to curling up with the other books in the series.

The Resurrection of Us (Albany Nightingale Duet #2)
by Rachel M. Raithby
My rating: five out of five stars
I love that this book continues the story right where the previous one left off. This was an excellent sequel, and the character development was fantastic...
I liked the main characters a lot more in this book, since you get to see just how much more there actually is to them than was revealed in the first book.
Also, the plot was great, and the ending was really satisfying.

Not Just Lovely Laura (Sisters by Marriage #2)

My rating: four out of five stars
This was another sweet romance by this author, and made for a lovely read. My only complaints are that the story took a while to get going because of all
the backstory from the previous book which could have been shortened, and the book could do with another round of edits. Other than that though it's an
enjoyable read with some fantastic characters - those we met in the previous book, as well as some we didn't - so is well worth reading if you're a fan
of this type of romance.

I finished my book called The Rancher's Holiday Arrangement by Brenda Minton

Read and finished All the Bright Places, which made me ugly cry. Also read and finished Mooncakes, which was super cute and had great artwork! I wish there was more. Re-reading ACOMAF for a readathon and then plan on starting Blood & Honey.

I had just finished and started the day this thread was started. Unfortunately, the final book in the series, , won't be available until next year.
I enjoy reading series, so I will most likely find another one to fill the wait.

This week I managed to read three books, all of which I was given in exchange for reviews.  So, here's what I read, along with my reviews.

Pursuit (Thor's Dragon Rider, #2)
by Katrina Cope
My rating: five out of five stars
You know I absolutely loved a book when even the frustration of a cliffhanger ending isn't enough to stop me giving it five stars. Yeah, it was that good. Had life allowed for it, I could have easily devoured this book in one sitting. The plot is fun, action-packed, and exciting. The worldbuilding is excellent. The characters are well-rounded, believable, and showing clear signs of development as the series progresses. It's also well-written. What more could you ask for? Now I need the next book... Thank goodness the author never makes us wait all that long between books, so I won't be left wondering what happens next for too much longer.

Alchemy Of Love: 30 Poems And Dreams About Love
by Sophie Foucher
My rating: four out of five stars
This is a lovely collection of poems, which shows the journey of healing the author went through when she wrote them. I really liked it, and they were all well-written and expressive, but none of them really stood out as being amazing to me, hence only giving the book four stars.

The King's Tower
by Tony Brunal
My rating: three out of five stars
I thought this book had the potential to be something great. Unfortunately, it's not there yet, and feels like it was published before it was really ready. The plot was interesting, but there were so many editing issues, problems with inconsistent character behaviour, etc, that it was difficult to enjoy it. With some work, this has the potential to be a five star read, but right now it's only a three star read for me.

So Blood & Honey was kind of a hot mess, which was a total bummer so I DNF’d it. Started The Upside of Unrequited and I love it! It’s my new favorite even though it’s been around for a while.

I finished my book called Playing Nice by J.P. Delaney

Finished The Upside of Unrequited, which I enjoyed despite the constant mention of sex that was kind of annoying. Started Cemetery Boys, which is okay so far. I like the culture, but I'm finding some parts to be a little repetitive.

This week I read three books, and started another I didn't have time to finish yet, all by the same author. So, here's what I read, along with my book reviews for the ones I finished.
    
Cop (Star Minds Lone Wolves)

My rating: five out of five stars
This was an excellent addition to the series. I especially love that this time there was a satisfying ending without the need for romance to make it happen.
I mean, there's nothing wrong with romance being the reason for a happy ending, but it's a refreshing change that it wasn't deemed necessary this time
around. After all, not everyone needs that.

This is an excellent addition to the series, with a fast-paced plot. It has a fantastic main character, and a load of other great characters too.

This is yet another excellent addition to the series. I've been loving getting to know all these fantastic characters, and learning how they became part
of the team, and Fabio is no exception. The bonus story was a great read too... I love that we get those with many of the books set in the Star Minds universe.

This book was a great read. It was wonderful to join all these characters on so many of their missions, and get to know them a bit more in the process.

This is another excellent collection of stories, which is once again a wonderful addition to the series. It's great getting to go on new adventures with
the characters I've grown to know - and in some cases really like - from previous books in the series, or - as is the case with a couple of the stories
- gain more insight in to a situation by seeing events from the point of view of another character.

My rating: five out of five stars
This was a fun read; I loved getting to see some of the characters I've read about in previous books when they were younger.

I finished my book called Holly Pointe & Mistletoe by Cindy Kirk

Finished my re-read of Vicious, will start Vengeful at some point but not sure when. I didn't feel in the mood for Interpreter of Maladies so I put back on my shelf for now. Finished re-reading Warriors Don't Cry, which I still love! Started reading When No One is Watching and I'm enjoying it so far.

Coraline
by Neil Gaiman
My rating: five out of five stars
This was an excellent imaginative and creepy read, which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. I ended up reading it in one sitting, because I just
couldn't put it down. Also, I've seen the movie a few times, and was impressed at how close the book and movie are to each other.

The Ballad of Mrs. Molony (The Hat, #3)
by C.S. Boyack
My rating: five out of five stars
Having read the previous books in this series, I was eager to read this one, and let me tell you I was definitely not disappointed! I devoured this book
in one sitting. It's an excellent read, filled with action and humour, with some great rodeo action and paranormal activity thrown in. Plus, the characters
are fantastic, well-rounded, and believable as real people - yes, even The Hat. Like I said, I read this book after having previously read the first two
books in the series, but you could easily read and enjoy this book without having read the others.

Murder They Wrote
by Judi Lynn, C.S. Boyack, Mae Clair, Kathleen Palm, Julia Donner, D.P. Reisig, and Rachel Sherwood Roberts
My rating: four out of five stars
This is an excellent collection of stories, which made for a great read. As with all collections like this, there were stories I enjoyed more than others,
though all were well-written and worth the read, and this collection has a fantastic mixture of genres, so the stories would appeal to a variety of tastes.
My favourite story was "Within the Plum Attic" by Kathleen Palm, with "From The Files Of Jason Fog" by C.S. Boyack and "A Winter Reckoning" by Mae Clair
in tied second place, though all the stories were enjoyable in their own way.
