For those of you who love Riordan's other works, this is well worth the read. :)
I'm having one of those months where I can't seem to finish any one book. But.... I am on vacation and just got back from a whirlwind 2 week long crazy roadtrip. ;-D
Right now I'm in the middle of
and now a reread of
.

I am almost done with The Way of Kings. I have no idea what to read next as I expect to have a book hangover after this one :)
I have also been writing like crazy, 11,000 words in the last two days. This is already my longest book and will likely end up around 140,000 words. Brew was previously my longest at 110,000. I can't wait to finish this manuscript so I can take a breath!

I hate being dissatisfied and have been known to throw a book or two across the room because of it. ;)

Love The Monstrumologist! But yes, very gory! I'm glad you're enjoying Strings thus far ;)

I finally finished
I did not enjoy this one as much as Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility, but it was still a cute story!

Update on my library! Still working on mostly decor, but I think I've got most of my books situated (although I think libraries are always a work in progress!)
TBR books, with library books and journals on the top

Fantasy and Paranormal books (HP books are on the floor, they will have a place of honor in my display case when I get it moved!)

YA Historical Fiction, Thriller/Suspense, Contemporary

YA Sci-Fi and Dystopian

MG (I have since but the Baby-Sitter Club Dolls on doll stands)

Top shelf is YA Fantasy/Paranormal (overflow), bottom 2 shelves are Adult books

, there's a reason why this book has incredible ratings on Goodreads. It is perfection :) Loved every second. I'm going to take a break before reading the sequel. Now I'm reading
finally!

Thanks David! I'm SO HAPPY, I've been wanting this FOREVER!!! Married 19 years, and I'm FINALLY getting it!!!!
Cool beans on the books. I think Heidi's group read next month will be Alive, so I'll probably be reading it soon too!

Awesome, will do! It is a FAST read, I'm at 55% in a day without really reading all that much. So far it's pretty good, definitely keeping me guessing with a main character who is quite complicated. It's got a strange dynamic because all of the characters have the mindsets of 12-year-olds (the last age they remember), but are now in older (18-year-old) bodies. So far I'm liking it though!

What are your thoughts on the Red Queen? That was one I wanted to love but I didn't :("
I like it so far -- it could be much better, I'm getting enormous Hunger Games vibes, but it's holding my interest for the moment. We'll see come the end.
Donna wrote: "It's a very unique concept, isn't it David? I found it a very quick read too. I'm looking forward to reading the second book after the reread I'll be doing for August."
Yes, it's got all of my interest at this point!

Thanks for the shout out! I'll be sending out a group message about it in a few days, but this is a good time for a pre-announcement! The Slip Trilogy reading marathon will start in two days in this Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/23047...
Basically the group of more than 500 members will be reading the entire trilogy front to back over the course of about 5 weeks. Every day me, Karen, and Jenny will be posting fun things in the group: DAILY GIVEAWAYS, quotes, discussion topics, and author insights. It's going to be a blast, so I'd love for a bunch of you from this group to join us :) Can't wait! And to get you all started, Slip is FREE on Kindle today through Tuesday. Hope to see you all in the group!
