I really wanted to read more of this month's reads! Not enough free time .......

MKay , how did you like "Agnes Grey?"

I really enjoy Anne Bronte.

Andrea, I liked Agnes Grey. At the beginning I wasn't sure, but I was pulling for her in the end. I wanted to spank the children for her lol.

The children Agnes was responsible for educating were just terrible and their parents were worse!

I also really enjoyed Agnes Grey. So far, Anne is my favorite of the Bronte sisters, although I do have several of Charlotte's novels yet to read. I agree that those children are just exasperating!

MKay, what did you think of A Farewell to Arms? I'm thinking about trying to read that one this year. I've only read one Hemingway before (The Sun Also Rises) and I didn't enjoy it, but I'm willing to give him another try!

There were parts of it that were slow and I actually stopped reading it for about a week and then picked it back up to finish the monthly read. It did get better further in. Some people complain about the dialogue and being able to tell who is speaking, but I had no trouble there. I did not like the ending, but do not let that stop you from reading.
