Is there any green in that cover, though? Or is it just hard to see?
Just curious btw...

message 12: by MadameZelda (new)

MadameZelda I don't mean to hog the green. If someone wants to read one or the other I selected, no problem! I'll read both anyway this month.

There is green in the center of the yellow. It's a lot more obvious in person.

That's what I was figuring: a lot of those pics don't do the cover justice...good luck! Haven't read it myself, and I hope it's good. :)

Is there a green cover for this? I couldn't find it

message 31: by MadameZelda (last edited Apr 05, 2016 12:34PM) (new)

MadameZelda I am getting all confused here. You all need to check Joycedale's main Cover Challenge description. I have copied what Joycedale says:

This will be a monthly challenge. Every month a random color will be chosen. Those that sign up will have a week to find a book cover that is at least half that color (no duplicates) and post in the thread. By the end of the month please post your rating for the book.
Ask any questions here.

message 32: by Thej (new)

Thej | 93 comments Sorry, it didn't come to my attention that the great hunt was taken. Anyway, is it good if I read The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire, #1) by C.J. Redwine ? The leaf is green.

We have gotten a little lax on the amount of color on the cover. Some colors were just really had to find lol. As long as the color "pops" we'll call it good

message 35: by ☆Stephanie☆ (new)

☆Stephanie☆ (teacherofya) | 37 comments I think you should stick with at least half, though, otherwise it gets really vague.
The challenge is the hunt to find the color, right?
I think (and yes, some colors are harder than most) that if you're gonna do the challenge, then do it! You know? I got lucky that one of mine happened to be green, but if it wasn't, then I would look for a book that had green and find one. It's like a scavenger hunt! That's part of the challenge.
It's your call, but I like the rules as they are. I think it's fun! Try something new guys! :)

message 36: by MadameZelda (new)

MadameZelda I side with Stephanie as that is what a challenge is about. It took me several days to find a particular color -- I can't remember which. (I think it was yellow.)

I also found a new author just because I had to find a freebie with that color cover!

This is also helped to reduce my TBR shelf with books I normally put aside for more favored ones.

Yes, your decision Joycedale!

You're right, it was more fun that way. We'll go back to that next month

message 38: by ☆Stephanie☆ (new)

☆Stephanie☆ (teacherofya) | 37 comments All right!! Now you're talking!
Then it will be a challenge...though there are still some people that do it right...
Yay!
