*Watched the movie The Postman Always Rings Twice (my 8 year old accidentally called it "The Mailman Knocks Once) - it was good and followed the plot of the short story written by Cain, but I was disappointed by a few changes - that's usually the way of books into movies, but in this case I really missed some of the cool figures of speech used - I'm sure this is mostly because the story was written in the 1930's and the movie made in the mid 1940's so they would have made it make sense for that time period - I've always wanted to see this so this was a fun challenge! By the way, I totally get why Lana Turner was all the rage back in her day - she was absolutely fantastic in this.
