David, Karen and I are starting a buddy read for Cress, the 3rd book in the Lunar Chronicles on Sat. May 3rd! Everyone is welcome to join!

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

I read this when it first came out. My favourite of the series so far. Enjoy reading it! :)

Yay!!!! I can finally full on read this now! ;) I have a long drive this afternoon so will get a couple of hours of audio in and will then switch to print tonight!

I'm actually on Chapter 11, about 19% in. Not bad since I've been trying NOT to listen to the audio for at least 3 or 4 weeks.

I don't have any print reading time today. I need to run a bunch of errands and then head to the other side of the Phoenix area to go get puppy therapy!! My BFF has a litter of Belgian Shepherds - Groendahls, and they're 4 weeks old now. I'm their first stranger interaction. Nothing better than to roll around with 8 puppies jumping and biting your hair and nipping your fingers, all at the same time! Guaranteed to make you giggle! ;)

And Scarlett is captured by that evil witch. It is not looking good for anyone at this point. Cinder seems to be the only one who can save anyone.

Rose, post in here when you get to Cress! We'll continue to chat with you. I do that all the time! So does Jenny! Hahahahaha..! We get so busy that we can't always manage to keep up with buddy reads but when we do, we always jump in when finally getting to the read.

29% done its getting better and better (view spoiler)[ I got all emotional with Cress that she finally got out, I'm so happy Cinder could reunite with Dr. Erland, Scarlet oh poor girl, that Sybil witch is so mean :(

And even blind, I just love Thorne!! I picture him as Firefly's Captain Mal ever since finding out that Marissa Meyer is a huge Firefly fan and was inspired by the show. I hope he gets cured. I'm starting to worry about him.

I'm up to 37% and Thorne and Cress are reminding me a little of Lilah and Tarver in These Broken Stars! I'm at 37% too :) I didn't expect it to go down the way I did. Very clever choices by the author to create suspense and action. Awesome so far!

70% Marissa Meyer, you're killing me! Tell me you did not just do what I think you may have done? Way to leave off at the end of a chapter. Urgh!

Okay I'm now up to 65 % and I LOVE this book! (view spoiler)[ I love how quick moving it all is, and how everyone (except Kai and Scarlet) came together in Africa of all places! I just love Cress, she is so adorable! And I love how Marissa fooled us and Cinder into thinking Jacin knew who Cinder really was, how clever was that? I totally didn't catch it either, Cinder, lol! And this may be just me, but the writing in this one (I didn't really notice in the previous two) and the plot, and the way the character's relate to each other really remind me of your books, David!

I haven't read David's books yet, but if they are anything like Cress, I am sure I will love them!
