Personality: Oz is known throughout the barn for his prickly personality. He is a rather stubborn horse that constantly yearns for freedom. He is most at home in open pastures. When it matters, Oz can be a well-behaved horse, especially if he is thoroughly acquainted with the rider. There are often occasions when he has tried to nip at someone when they try to saddle him. Oz is a particular horse who if you don’t ride him in his preferred way, he will bolt off, if you’re fully on his back or not. When this happens it takes a while to catch up to him and get him to settle down. He is a rather intelligent horse and also quite snobby, always having to be properly groomed.

Basic History: Oz was from a ranch in Texas named Finnigan Creek. Due to financial problems, they had to sell a few horses in order to get back on their feet. Since Oz was a hard to deal with horse, they decided to sell him to the Swanson family, when Casanova fell in love with him while seeing one of their ads online. Casanova moved to Virginia after college to stay independent and brought Oz with her and boarded at Kotopa Stables. He currently stays in stall nineteen.

Born in England but mostly raised in the state of Texas, Adley was a kid with a bright smile and a dream. The strawberry blonde was utterly fascinated with pictures. She often drew them anywhere she could - on the back pages of books and even on the walls despite her parents’ blatantly evident disapproval. It was at the age of sixteen that Adley accepted that she wasn’t too good at drawing. So she took up the next best thing – photography. She took pictures of everything and everyone.

Adley’s father owned a small ranch, quaint yet well run. This resulted in Adley’s deep love of horses. Since her older brother’s accident when she was twelve, her father was reluctant to let his only daughter ride a horse. But finally, after years of persuading and pleading, Adley got to do something much better. Two weeks before her seventeenth birthday, her parents came into her room with a laptop and told her to look and pick out any horse she wanted. Overjoyed, she scanned the Internet until she finally found a stallion that piqued her interest. On the big day as she returned home from school, she saw the majestic creature in front of the stable doors, a red bow on him.

Three years later, Adley has moved to a small one bedroom apartment in Virginia. Oz was boarded in Kotopa Stables and she continued to train him daily, no longer with the help of her father. She still takes courses for photography and does jobs to keep her financially stable but she also has a dream to flourish in the equestrian world – with only Oz as her partner.
