Gideon is a murderer

I think that his justification was that Nathan was going to go after Eva, and he had enough of a chance to try to kill her that he was going to make the attempt so Gideon was being proactive. I think the other piece though that you're glossing over is that not only did Gideon kill Nathan, but clancy then went and killed someone else to make the trail cold. and you're then not putting any issues on what Clancy did - all with the same rationale of protecting Eva in self defense and she was going to be a victim.
not at all am i saying that it's right or justified, just a different perspective.

Clancy didn't kill anybody, his brother at the NYPD put Nathan's bracelet as piece of evidence to the file of some victim of the mob, so the police would draw the wrong conclusion.
In my opinion a high praised author as Sylvia Day should be able to come up with a sophisticated way to get rid of a thread for the heroine and I had hope until the end there would be a twist to prove Gideon's innocence.

Gudrun wrote: "What astonishes me most is the fact that no reader who claims Gideon as best book-boyfriend ever comments the fact that he committed a murder and got away with it because he had the means to supply..."

I have no problem with it. Gideon killed Nathan to protect Eva. Right or wrong the motive was justified. I don't need my hero's to be perfect upstanding citizens. I'm okay with unpunished homicide in a romance when that homicide was to protect someone who was brutally abused.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but when the victim of the murder is a brutal rapist and pedophile, I don't really feel bad or like it wasn't justified so I am definitely okay with that. Sure, it's scary that people have the means to get away with shit like this, but in this case, I'm glad. Every rapist should die. I think you should work on your black and white view of the world.

First he raped her continually for 4 years until she had miscarriage to be discoverd, then he stalked her ( had thing of her from her trash as the agent said) , he went to where she works, she even showed Gideon the photos and videos (maybe to make him leave Eva) , assaulted Cary and was sure as hell going to kill her at the end because of his obsession with her.
So a Gideon knew that his death is the only thing that could protect REALLY Eva and did it knowing it will morally torn him more than he is.
Nathan deserve to be killed, he was a monster who hurted a young girl and came back to hurt the woman she became. so good riddance

Well, hence the endearment I would kill for you. duh!

On the contrary I found it so hot that Gideon was willing to risk everything he had and all that he built, just to make sure Eva was safe. Im not saying I think its hot he committed a murder (absolutely not) but apparently that was what needed to be done since it was obvious that Nathan wouldn't stop until he killed Eva.

I was curious to learn when and how SD would solve that problem but she didn’t tackle it at all. In my eyes he is a muderer however noble his intention to save Eva might be, it was a crime. HEA with a murderer in a romance is wholly unacceptable for me.
Are you ok with unpunished homicide in a romance novel series ?
