What are you using as a bookmark right now?

I currently have a beautiful Lithuanian-made metal bookmark in my non-fic book, and some copied papers with maps and pronunciation guides in my fiction book.

Olivia (olivia_r) I have a 3-D penguin bookmark that I use the most. The penguins look like they are walking when you move the bookmark. I love it!

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 21 comments I like regular bookmarks, but am always running out for mysterious reasons. (They evaporate, I'm sure!) so I usually end up using receipts! Losing a $20 in a boring book cured me of using money when out and about!!!

Faith (faithpotts) Right now I'm using 'real' bookmarks. ;) I have lots of pretty bookmarks, and bookmarks I've made or friends have made. :) But in a pinch a scrap of paper will work!!

Kelsey (theressomethingaboutkm) | 3 comments I love using my knitted flower bookmark - the stem stays inside the book and the flower itself drapes over the cover. For library books, I almost always end up using my receipt/slip to mark my place, this also helps me remember when the book is due so I can renew it

Rick Presley | 18 comments The Columbus Metropolitan Library provides me with abundant personalized bookmarks. Every time I place a reserve, they shelve it with a printed slip indicating my name and pick-up due date. Even the audio books and videos get these, so I have an unending supply of them.

I do that quite often actually. When I'm being "good" I use a bookmark ;)

Jessica (jessical1961) I use some old bookmarks made from movie posters from a neighborhood church.

I have two bookmarks in use right now in the books I'm reading. One is a purple bookmark made out of heavy paper from Wonju, Korea, which is famous for its paper. The other is a metal circular bookmark with intricate cutouts of a Korean hanbok (traditional dress). It's rather funny, actually, because I live in Japan--I got the bookmarks when I visited Korea last November.

Alayna Mitchell | 10 comments I have, or should I say had, bookmarks, but somehow I always end up using pieces of scrap paper, Kleenexes (lot of these), or the corner of a throw pillow—basically whatever I find laying around at the moment I have to pause in my reading. =)

JennyR (jenniferra) My 6 year old recently discovered his passion for amassing sports and National Geographic collector cards. Daily I open my books to discover a never-before-seen bookmark/collector card marking a never-before-read location in the story. It's the little surprises and adventures that get us through life - right?
