message 11: by Dawnie (new)

Dawnie Would Ready Player One by Ernest Cline count for "Jumanji: Level Two: Dystopia involving gaming"?
I am unsure if its counts for Dystopian, i would count it since it takes place in "the future" where everyone more or less lives through/with a computer game but i thought i asks before deciding on my TBR :)

message 12: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Yes, that will count.

message 13: by Dawnie (last edited Jun 30, 2016 10:25AM) (new)

Dawnie I have no idea for which level i am going right now, or if i am mixing and matching, or how many books i will be managed to read in June at all.
But i just tried to fill out as many points as i could from books available to me to either by owning, having them for review or through the library :)

Titanic

Royal Assassin (Farseer Trilogy, #2) by Robin Hobb (There is a ship in the flag-thingy)

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments Would Legend count as orange and white? It's silver and gold so it kind of works?

Also does anyone have any suggestions of books set in a jungle or dealing with tv/news show?

For a book dealing with tv/news show you could try this one Child X by Lee Weatherly It's nice and short and has been approved by Courtney.

The only other ones I can think of that are vaguely tv related are The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins and The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass

For the jungle the most obvious one that comes to mind is The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling

I found these two lists that might have something on it that works for jungle for you. :D

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I posted on the buddy thread, but is anyone interested in buddy reading The School for Good and Evil or The Unexpected Everything with me sometime this month?

message 20: by Kylara (new)

message 21: by Kylara (new)

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments About to start Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver , a repeating day story

message 22: by C.P. (new)

message 23: by Kylara (new)

Kylara Jensen | 437 comments I could do the 18th

message 24: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Ok. Let's plan for that then. I'll create us a buddy thread later.

message 27: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I feel so bad because I don't have a plan for this challenge and I'm just going to read what ever and see where it fits. Lol

message 28: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Thanks, the surgery itself wasn't bad but I hate the fact that I can't use my foot right now.

message 29: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments That would be hard. :( How long should recovery be?

I'm just reading. I don't have a plan for any challenge. We'll see if I get through many books.

I'm too much of a planner to do that. For the loose challenges it's fine but for a more specific challenge like the movie challenge I HAVE to plan. :/

5 weeks is a long time to not be able to use your foot. Hope it feels better soon Jackie!

message 34: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I think I will not be using it for two and then I will be in a boot for the other three weeks. Still, it's pretty hard since I can only put weight on one.

message 35: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I've hurt my ankle and barely been able to use it in the past, so I can only imagine. I can't stand not being able to move around. Hopefully the boot will be better.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Jackie, my sister and I plan to read The Truth About Forever starting tomorrow. So if you wanted to do a buddy read for that, we could. We'll be reading it rather slowly (probably finishing in 11 or 12 days), so you wouldn't have to start when we do.

That's open for anyone, by the way. I just know Jackie was wanting to read that. :)

message 40: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Let me get the book. I will let you know once I have it

message 41: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Great. we'll be going slow, so I can discuss it with you whenever.

message 42: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Okay.:)

message 43: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I've started two books for the challenges. Mistress of Rome (The Empress of Rome, #1) by Kate Quinn and Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder I'm hoping to use Poison Study for 'Jungle' but I think it probably won't count so I'm also looking for another spot for it. Mistress of Rome was suppose to be boat/ship but now that I've seen a close up of the cover I think it's not going to count either. :/

message 44: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments The boat cover was a different cover than I thought it was. I can still use Mistress of Rome for boat. :)

message 45: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Awesome! It's nice when that happens. :)

message 47: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments The trivia post today was a lot harder. The only one I felt confident of was the cover portion. :(

message 48: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments They'll probably alternate somewhat on difficulty. I'm about to check your message!

KK. I hope I got at least two. But I'm expecting I only got one. :/
