Whichever date you decide. It's an individual game so everybody can have a different start date. Once you finish you can also play again with a new set of books. This game can go on forever.

Fiction or nonfiction?

I've noticed that sometimes I don't get those "(xx news)" messages. There must be a some kind of a bug.

It is a bolivian classic historical novel written in 1885. Said to be the best hispanic novel of the XIX century.
