(view spoiler)[ This is getting pretty interesting. I'm really not into mystery type books, but I love the spin this book takes with it. I'm really curious to know more about Reyes. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I guess it makes a little more sense that Reyes is in a coma. But there's still a lot about this whole thing that aren't very clear (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ Cookie’s one of my fav character so far. I love her sense of humor. I’m really curious about Reyes now! Why is back and what does he want from Charley now? After all, he seemed to not care when they first met. I wonder if the lawyer’s murders intersect with Reyes’s appearance. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 12 (view spoiler)[ I can’t believe Reyes is in a coma. After all the stuff we heard about him, possibly being not human which I still think he’s not he ended up in a coma. Then again, for a guy in a coma that can possess a grim reaper, I’d say he’s pretty active. (hide spoiler)]

Yes so I did read it apparently, but I only remember some details. I didn't pay enough attention I guess. So I'm glad to re read and hopefully continue the series.

Also I'm on chapter 11. (view spoiler)[ I remember that something is going on with Reyes, obviously, and that he was in jail, but still working out who killed the lawyers and that 15 year old boy. Its a quick read which is nice (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15 (view spoiler)[ I still can't remember who killed the lawyers, so I'm excited to see more about that. I'm glad Reyes showed up and severed that abusive asshole's spine. He definitely deserved it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16 (view spoiler)[ Hmm interesting. The crime story is actually interesting. It’s a lot bigger than I thought it would be and I have to say, I missed the 3 lawyers. Glad to see more of them in this chapter. But seriously, are ever going to get a real conversation between Reyes and Charley? (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ I really liked it. I loved Charley’s inner monologue. She’s funny, sassy and sarcastic. It’s a good first book with a solid foundation for a great series. I can’t wait to learn more about Charley’s abilities, Reyes and what it really means to be the grim reaper. I wish they added more about what the main story will be for the series. They hinted at it but not much was revealed. I still can’t wait to read the rest. (hide spoiler)]

I loved it when the police were stumped on how he got a severed spinal cord with no external forces. I could totally picture Charley just innocently whistling away, pretending she had no idea how that happened.
