Christine | 30 comments This is my first participation in a reading challenge so looking forward to it. I am hoping I can read more than my 40 Books. I am starting late but I am hopeful that I will succeed.

# 1 Broken Dolls Broken Dolls (A Jefferson Winter Thriller, #1) by James Carol by James Carol. A great physiological thriller. This is his debut novel featuring ex FBI profiler Jefferson Winter. I have purchased other books in this series and hoping to read as part of my challenge 2016.

Christine | 30 comments # 2 Swimsuit by James Patterson James Patterson. This was the 1st book I read by James in 7 yrs and I loved it! Will be doing a catchup with him for sure.

#3 Tears of the Silenced A True Crime and an American Tragedy; Severe Child Abuse and Leaving the Amish by Misty Griffin by Misty Griffin. I could not put this book down. It evoked a lot of emotions in me from anger to sadness. A great read showing us that not everything is always as it seems. Being educated myself in a religious institution I was faced with memories from this horrid time in my life.

Christine | 30 comments #4 Kill me again Kill Me Again by Rachel Abbott by Rachel Abbott. This is the latest book featuring DCI Tom Douglas, whilst you dont have to read them in order it helps too so you understand the relationships better. I loved loved loved this book! Full of suspence and Rachel's style of writing is easy to follow.

#5 The no.1 Ladies Detective agency The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, #1) by Alexander McCall Smith by Alexander McCall Smith. One of my favs this year. Will be reading others in this series

#6 The Cat, the Quilt and the Corpse The Cat, the Quilt and the Corpse (A Cats In Trouble Mystery, #1) by Leann Sweeney by Leann Sweeney. My first attempt at reading a cosy mystery and yes! I am hooked. I think it appealed to me because I am a cat lover, but the perfect books when I need a change from my usual thrillers.

#7 Going Home Going Home (Inspector Rudd, #20) by June Thomson by June Thomson. Didnt enjoy this book. The first part was reasonable but the second half of the book just too predictable and felt rushed.

I know the feeling exactly! I love my girl Naminé to bits too. Sometimes I think a little too much. I get so scared for her, but she is just so much joy, huge personality ^^

I fantastic debut book that I devoured practically in one sitting. Fell in love with DCI Erika Foster.

Cassandra | 5832 comments It helps me too. It keeps reading in the top of my mind, so I find snatches of time where I might have just watched TV before.

A quick 97 page manga book. A pleasant lighthearted book belonging to the Warrior Cat series.

Christine | 30 comments #16 I Am Malala The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai by Malala Yousafzai
This was a DNF one for me. I did read 3/4 of the book and did manage to get a reasonable understanding of why so many men and women join terrorist groups in these countries but it does not excuse the radicalized Westerners who join these groups.
