Jen | 16 comments My first readathon is going well so far! I'm listening to The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards by Kristopher Jansma on audiobook as I'm up and around doing things. I finished Memoirs of a Porcupine by Alain Mabanckou this morning, which I had started earlier in the week. I just finished Sweet Tooth, Vol. 1 Out of the Deep Woods by Jeff Lemire and am getting ready to start The Girl in the Flammable Skirt by Aimee Bender , short stories which I plan to pop into throughout the day between other books.

Jen | 16 comments Opening Meme

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Olympia, WA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I don't know if I can choose... I'm looking forward to all of them.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? Coffee!!! (Is coffee a snack?)
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm not a morning person so I missed the first hour (will make that up later) and have been dozing off here and there. My strategy is to change locations/positions/book formats throughout the day to wake myself up. I'm also planning to work in my garden to get some exercise - while listening to an audiobook, of course!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? This is my first read-a-thon, and I'm looking forward to making a small dent in my TBR pile. I have a huge stack set aside for the day, half from my personal library and half from the local library of titles on my Goodreads TBR that I don't own. I'm also behind in my Goodreads challenge this year, so I hope to at least catch up, and hopefully get ahead.
