Librarian note says this is a placeholder for Blackstone Audio releases when the narrator is not yet known, but there are all sorts of other random works under here, many of which were (according to their dates) published years ago.

Scott | 8719 comments I guess I'm not sure why it even needs to exist, or why Blackstone is special. Can't they just add the narrator when they know it?

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments My guess is it is more than Blackstone. It comes through from import, so if any book is posted with a To Be Announced as an author it would go in the profile.

There is another one that is just TBA, which is similar but mostly for audiobooks also.

It is not that they are special, it is just what a librarian put in as the description. Personally I would not have added a description specifying a single company, because any company could have a book under it.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments They are added in general by the imports.

Scott | 8719 comments As for true "to be announced" releases, the top work is due to be released in 2030 (!). Really, we are predicting books 14 years in advance? I know it's an Amazon import, but...

2030 is the year used by Amazon to indicate a future but unknown date. It rarely really means anything more than 2-3 years in the future -- the dates get revised when known.
