Lynnda | 23 comments Hi. I am the author of Trusting the Currents, a spiritual novel that was unexpectedly whispered to me by a Southern, African American woman. It has won 10 book awards, and currently garners 52 beautiful reviews on Amazon. The main characters are women who learn to 'trust the currents' in their lives and guide readers to trust their own currents. There are three levels to the book: the story of Addie Mae Aubrey's (the narrator) teenage years in the late 1930s rural South, the universal life messages woven throughout the story, and energetic frequencies embedded in the writing that shift consciousness to the heart when reading. It's been most compared to The Alchemist and The Color Purple. It's a book I hope mothers and their teenage daughters will read together, and an inspiring book for anyone going through profound change in their lives.
