So the Lyttle Lytton posted their 2016 winners, and oh dear god they're so good.

Even better -- or far, far worse -- are the entries in the "found" category. Someone actually got paid to write that Black Widow one. It's so bad I had to go look for myself. Dear lord.

Bulwer-Lytton was a perfectly fine writer. People only think he's bad because Snoopy kept using, "It was a dark and stormy night," to begin his novels.

Unfairly maligned, perhaps, but certainly overwrought. Regardless, it's a handy way to categorize these things.

I'm 99% sure that Black Widow one is supposed to be funny. I haven't read the book, but the whole posted passage above has a super lighthearted feel.

But yeah, the winners this year are glorious.
