Brooke | 15 comments What are some romance novels where either the heroine goes back in time and falls in love or the hero comes forward in time? Thanks!

Sandra Hill has a series that has some of the characters coming forward in time and some of them going backwards in time. There is a fair bit of humour in the series.

The Last Viking is the first book in the series. I will warn you--she has 2 different Viking series, and the other series is much more serious than this one. (And I am going to also admit, I didn't like it at all.) This series is usually referred to as Vikings II in her listing of books.

Jenna | 581 comments Once in Every Life and When There is Hope are two romances when heroine goes back to 19th century and falls in love. They are both good; two of my favourites for Time-Travel; in both the woman that the heroine is "replacing" is/was also not very nice, so not only does heroine have to adjust to living life in the 19th century (which they all seem to do relatively easily after the first initial struggle) but also have to convince everyone they are no longer awful/mean people.

Jenna | 581 comments List of "Time Passages" series from 1990s; characters go back of forward in time. Books are by different authors and different time periods.

Author Sandra Hill has another time travel series called Creole Historical. The first book is Frankly, My Dear (think strong Gone with the Wind over-tones to this one.) Each of the other 2 pays homage to a different well known book, which you should be able to figure out from the titles. They are wicked and witty and I did enjoy them greatly when I read them.

Brooke, I just added "time travel" to your topic header.

Are you interested in romances for older adults and/or young adults (teens)?

Emme (scarlethistory) | 4 comments Caroline B. Cooney has the Time Travelers Quartet series, that are about the heroine going back in time(1995 to 1890s) and later the hero going forward to her time. They're young adult, but you might enjoy them!

Christine | 140 comments Somewhere in Time, by Richard Matheson.

I haven't read the book yet, but there was a very romantic 1979 movie version that I absolutely loved (with Christopher Reeves). It's an older book/movie, but really enjoyable, the movie at least.

Somewhere In Time the click for Christine's suggestion. (And I loved the movie also. But then, everything that Christopher Reeves did I loved.)

Jane's Warlord despite the title's implication of historical time travel, the warlord is from the future.

Ebookworm2016 | 182 comments “Breath of Magic” by Teresa Medeiros. I just checked this one out, so I don’t know if it’s good. But the heroine travels forward in time.

Crystal | 326 comments A Murder in Time! She's an FBI agent from our current time and gets set back to somewhere around the 1800s. A string of murders are happening in the 1800s and she puts her modern detective skills to good use. Plus there is a nice romance arc here too
