I still feel confused.

re: Jamie and Cersei discussing the dagger that was sent to kill Bran back at Winterfell.

They discuss Robert talking about putting animals out of misery.
It seems that they think it was Joffrey who did it to get a pat on the back from his Dad Robert??? Did I read that right? I really don't see what young Joffrey would have as a reason to kill another kid. Just for that pat on the back and because he is an evil, evil kid???

Thoughts?

Vishakha Motwani (vimo) | 150 comments Yes even I read it the same way, that Joff sent to kill Bran, I also think having an impression of the sorts that Joff considered Winterfell to be throne's enemies.. Besides getting a pat on the back from Robert Baratheon would have been important to Joff, because, I don't know if you remember the incident where Joff slit open the cat just to see if it really had kids inside and then went to Robert, Robert then ended up slapping him so hard that Joff was bleeding I guess. My bet is since his childhood he has been trying to prove himself worthy of being heir to the throne, and this would have "certainly make the king appreciate Joffrey".
