Jeremy | 194 comments Any book by Jim Butcher released in the past 10 years...
I get the hardcover(s) on the release date from my local library, and buy the paperbacks as soon as they are published. With each new release, I almost always wind up staying up until 2 or 3 AM.

Zombieslayer⚡Alienhunter (theslayingisthunter) | 153 comments @Jeremy Same! XD I started with Storm Front two years ago and I'm up to White Night. I barely sleep when i'm reading one.

Grave Peril especially kept me up past a sensible bedtime though. I distinctly remember finishing (in tears) at well-past four AM.

Yes, the Holy Spirit comes over you and you are able to read night and day without sleep until finished.

Now you're making me envious (which is a sin) - I read the Bible, but it didn't happen to me like that. What's wrong with me?

message 31: by Angela (new)

Angela | 625 comments The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler (Better known as Lemony Snicket!) I swear, I read three quarters of this in one night. At first I just wanted to get to the murder scene (not a spoiler; you know who the murderer is from the first page), but by then I was so wrapped up in the story/so close to the end I decided I might as well keep going. This is still one of my favorite books to date. :)

message 34: by Random (new)

Random (rand0m1s) | 103 comments There have been so many books over my life which have kept me from sleeping. The one I remember most distinctly was Midshipman's Hope.

I started reading it that evening in bed. My husband went to sleep as normal. When his alarm clock went off I was 2 chapters from the end and still going strong. Sadly the rest of the series was a bit of a let down. Same formula kind of thing.

message 35: by Ana (new)

Ana (kekinda) | 8 comments Any book by Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, Faith Hunter, Jim Butcher, Ilona Andrews...

anne-sophie lapointe morin | 1 comments agota kristof : the notebook, the proof, the third lie.... That trilogy was something else, I'm not even sure if I liked it or not, but it was surprising from the begining to the end. It kept me up for 3 nights (3 books 3 nights, you know). Just jump into it and spend the rest of your life thinking how you would have writtin book 2 and 3.

Thank you, thank you!! Yesterday, I posted to the "What's the Name of that Book???" because I couldn't remember the title. I knew the word "kiss" was in it, but all my searches were futile, so I didn't add that in my description. This is it though!!

Thanks, I'm so glad I randomly saw your post! As soon as I saw it, I looked it up and bham! This is it. Case closed.
