Shauna Jared (shaunajared) I can't seem to find anything new to keep me interested lately! Some recent faves are Outlander series, Red Rising series, Hunger Games series. Looking for dystopian or time travel theme... And as you can tell from my recent reads, I prefer a series to a stand alone. :) Thanks for any help!

Eleanor | 1 comments Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer The Jewel (The Lone City, #1) by Amy Ewing The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) by Marie Rutkoski I'm not sure if I would really consider the last one true dystopian, but some people do...and it was a good book. Haven't read more than the first book of either of the last 2 series, but plan to :)

message 8: by Diane (new)

Diane Besides The Hunger Games, series I have greatly enjoyed: Partials, Enclave, Rot and Ruin, The Fifth Wave, The Rule of Three, H20, Wool (not YA), The Last Policeman (not YA), Monument 14, Stung, Ashfall. So that you'll get a picture of the corner of YA dystopian/post-apoc I enjoy: more-or-less ordinary people rise to the occasion, with some redemption thrown in for primary or secondary characters. I have read many other series, but some I have not cared for as much as others or I enjoyed some books in the series but not others. I mention them because, obviously, millions of other people feel differently: Divergent, Life as We Knew It, Blood Red Road, Not a Drop to Drink, Breathe, The Maze Runner, Ashes. At the young end of YA, WARP is an on-going fun series.

Shauna Jared (shaunajared) Thanks, those all look promising!! :)

ash (goblingirlash) Besides the super obvious books that have been posted above, there's a trilogy called Archer's of Avalon by Chelsea Fine. I found it a really great trilogy and own all 3 books. It's full of action and romance, and in my opinion has the time travel aspect. It's been awhile since I reread the trilogy, so all three books have run together in my memory. I would definitely recommend you at least give the first one a try (it's called Anew). I hope this helps, and good luck!

Another source for e-books may be your public library. I don't own a Kindle but can read e-books from my library on my laptop.

message 14: by Shauna (new)

Shauna Jared (shaunajared) I just discovered the Overdrive app today for audiobooks! :) I could read ebook a on my phone through it too... Our library doesn't have a huge selection though. But it will definitely save me some money sometimes! Thanks! :)
