The Darwin Sin is my first book. It is a techno-thriller and deals with several scientific issues, including: stem cells, xenotransplants, HIV, environmental toxins, nanotechnology, extinction, evolution, African wildlife, etc.

Here is a brief summary:

A killer virus on the loose and a race against time to find the source and a cure. But maverick scientist, Derek Lane, knows the search will be hard, especially with a radical fringe group out to kill him.

Derek's pursuit takes him from the safety and comforts of America to the wilderness of Africa—the suspected home of the virus. Here Derek stumbles into a world of unscrupulous science, which promotes a shocking kind of reverse evolution and threatens the progress and continuance of mankind.

Amidst the turmoil, Derek meets Kate Rhodes, a woman struggling to uncover more about the mysterious death of her best friend, Emily. Kate and Derek make an unlikely pair, their personal searches seemingly unrelated until Derek discovers that Emily's death might hold the key to unlocking a cure...but can they stop the virus in time?
