Segilola Salami (segilolasalami) | 108 comments Hi everyone,

So a few days ago, I got the final illustrations and cover image for my latest book. Yayyyyyy took long enough to get finished

I have just spent the last few hours finishing up the book to get it ready for printing.

I am having a cover reveal party on the 31st of May prior to the hardback copy being available for purchase on the 1st of June http://www.segilolasalami.co.uk/book-...

I went on createspace to upload the file in advance of June and noticed that it does not allow a later publication date.

Secondly, createspace only allows for paperback and not hardback books. I checked draft2digital and they only do paperbacks as well and smashwords does only ebooks.

I feel that this particular book would benefit from being a hardback over being a paperback and prior to checking with createspace, I have registered the ISBN as being a hardback

Can any of you recommend a distributor like createspace that doesn't charge anything upfront but prints hardback copies?

I saw a thread on the createspace forum debating lightening source and lulu and it seems LS charges upfront and lulu's printing costs are quite exhorbitant. Based on this, I would rather not use either of them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need to have the hardback copy as available for purchase from the 1st of June and desirably as available for delivery with Amazon Prime.

Many thanks

Also I haven't been able to see how to calculate the selling price of the book like on CS
