I already have a book planned for tomorrow but I can start this on Friday the 3rd if that works.
Ok wtf?!What is it with their dad being so overprotective?!? He's some sort of businessman , but why does he NEED to isolate his daughters and seclude them for their safety!?
He came from poverty , so it's not like his daughter's are blue-bloods to be kidnapped...

Right??! Seems a little dramatic to me. Why not just sit down and explain the situation? I love when the audiobook uses different narrators for each POV. It makes things much more enjoyable.

I know I'm jumping the gun here and being too impatient, but WTF?! Why are they being so dramatic?! A team of 3-4 people to protect one girl?! And they won't let her make a phone call?! And if they are protecting her, I'm assuming the father arranged this (since he already contacted Nox) - so why couldn't he have warned his daughters?! And why can't Nox explain things without all the secrecy and violence?! I mean - bad-ass drama queen much?!
Yasssss.. This all seems a little much. Her dad should have sat them down and explained everything. I'm sure the girls (her sister might have protested a bit) would have gone willingly to whatever secret location they had set up. And why exactly must they be in separate locations? And I was annoyed when he kept flat out refusing her a phone call when that was all that was needed for her 100% cooperation! Seems like it would have been an easier route to take

And then he tells her how she was kidnapped when she was 13 by someone whose kid was sick and dying... Realistically she blames her dad for not paying for the kid's surgery, but the dude did give 20,000 so i mean....

Then - as the house is being bombed why are they all running to the van except for Nox, who stays behind- why?!? Why would he stay?!?

She kept saying at the safe house how she never had family meals,etc.. Her dad kept her and her sister locked up at home - what else did they have to do other than spend family time together - yet apparently they never did!!
The nurses at the hospital are very quick to tranquillize her! Hahahahha im not sure that's suck a common practice....
Suuuuch a bitch to her parents - especially her dad!! She kicks them out of the hospital and blames them for everything YET THEN SHE TAKES HIS MONEY!! Says things like "he can't forbid me" and "i needed to take that money and start my own life" - ummmm YOUR DAD'S MONEY!! So no problems taking his money but doesn't want to talk to him!! Biiitch!!

The entire end with her dad bothered me the most. It really really bugged me that she blamed him for every fucking thing to the point of refusing to talk or see him. But then of course takes his money. Then when she realizes Nox is alive then everything is just peachy. I also didn't get why they couldn't all be friends after the fact.
To me, this was one of those books that has tidbits added to it that attempt to make it a serious/deep book, but that just make no sense!!Like the relationship with dad...

Like tackling the serious topic of sickness/someone loosing a limb...
Like the "heart-breaking" separation from her friends ....
All of these things were completely unnecessary in this book, or at least should have been handled better and EXPLAINED BETTER!!
I still don't realize what exactly she blamed her dad for?! The kidnapping? The not telling her she was in danger? Tge "death" of her boyfriend? Because , honestly, i wasn't sure why it was the poor guy's fault that u f*cked ur bodyguard and then he died protecting you....
If you ask me - she shouldn't have been a pushover at the beginning of the book and allowed her dad to stop her from having friends and going to college!! THIS is when she should have spoken up and demanded explanations!! Noo, at this point she blindly followed the rules like a brainless idiot , but noooowwww she won't speak to him after they all went through a traumatic experience.,..
ALSO - the whole "killer Jamie/Jed" thing was poorly construed
At some point i think Nox said "it was all because of his sick crush" -- because there was also mention of Jed (or whatever his name was) crushing on Tara... But he was killing because of money (not sure how killing Lily would give him money?!?) not because of his crush!! These are things that prevent me from giving a book more than 2*! I shouldn't have to guess at what the motives were and what the author meant to say...
Oh yeagh "they cant be friends after the fact" yet once they are married they CAAAAN be friends again?!? What changed??
