What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Really enjoyed the YA perspective of One More River and I even learned a bit about Israel during this period. In all fairness though I'd like to read a similar book with an Arab MC.

Does such a thing exist in English?

I tend to like my history wrapped in fiction rather than just reading the non-fiction. It not only allows one to absorb the facts but also to gain some extra empathy and understanding.

Are you specifically looking for the 1967 war?

The Time of Anger has Arab as well as Jewish MCs.

A Thousand Splendid Suns maybe...it's adult fiction and it's set in Afghanistan/the middle east

It's quite dark and depressing at times but it's a very good book...there's some slight romance too but it's not the main focus
