Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments Question re: "PB" initials. In TA shelf's The Night Circus, there's a character named Hector Bowen but he goes by Prospero as a nickname/stagename, so does that make him Prospero Bowen? For PB? This one is hard, so I'm hoping....

THE END OF WOBBLE IS NIGH!

I never thought this moment would come but here we are with eight days to go! (Countdown added to the Goal post.) It's time to prioritize tasks and focus our efforts. Some thoughts:

- We're nearly at a level 10 weapon, and 11 is still a ways away. It may be worth it to enjoy our 20 attack and go all out on quests and monsters.

- It appears that the spreadsheet will now reset twice a day, at both 11 am and pm London time. We can leverage this, discarding cards we're not interested in and hoping for monsters every 12 hours.

- A question for everyone - what kind of tasks do you like? What would you rather skip? Some of the more complicated ones are no brainers (booo chains and ladders!) but what about the rest? (Spell it outs, cover tasks....)

Here's where we stand currently:

Weapon - one book away from Level 10 :)

Card 1 - map task, newly drawn (like and keep? Throw back?)
Card 2 - bugs (Interested? Throw back?)
Card 3 - STAR (in progress)
Card 4 - one book away, but maybe I missed something...?
Card 5 - PB&J (There's a J TA book, so the only hard part is the PB Ray found one, huzzah!)

Ideas and thoughts of all sorts are welcome - let's rock Wobble to the very end!! :D

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments TA shelf Papillon has 44 bugs (maybe more, but I ran out of ideas for what to search). That's a good start! My Swordbird had 12 = 56. I think we could do this one. I'll poke around the TA shelf a little more -- was hoping for 100 in one book. :P

Your poking is much appreciated! Hehe.

eta: I shifted some books around so there's more in the bank at the moment, if that helps :)

eta2: And I just found a #10 in a series I missed, eep! The good news is that it finishes level 10 :)

Tammie | 4553 comments I'm fine reading whatever...I'm on vaca through Wed...so lots of reading time as I'm on the beach!
I think we should probably be finished with series leveling as it may not be helpful...finishing challenges as fast as possible will be our best strategy....so reading shorter books for the balance, if we have them on our to-read, unless something else is required.

message 6319: by Ray (user2637) (new)

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments I noticed that one as well. I'm certain it wasn't there a few days ago, or that maybe we had used it and it got unused somehow...? *shrug* I suppose we can't be faulted for it if the spreadsheet is telling us wrong info! :)

I agree that level 10 is a good place to stop with the weapon.

Caly ☯ Crazy Book Lady | 596 comments I am not sure how this works to get us the most points but I agree that we should probably stop leveling and work on getting cards done quickly however that needs to happen. Seems to make sense to use the TA books at this point like Ray suggests. Then we can see if we get any monster cards.

It seems that spell it out cards are the easiest followed by book covers, at least for me to find books.
