may I ask why the tournaments were cancelled?

There were concerns on how the teams would be paired up fairly, and I don't believe there were many people who liked the idea of it to begin with. It does take the pressure off on keeping our HP and potions up so we can just play and enjoy without worrying about our HP dropping to 0 every 16 hours.

This one should be easy! There are a couple books with more than 100 mentions of bugs in each book so we can get this in 1 shot! I'll find the titles of those books and list them.

You're just looking for mentions of bugs in the story. Each mention counts so if a book has a lot of bugs in the story, it can be done with 1 books. Here are a couple that will work (mentions bugs more than 100x):

The Spider Diaries: Part 1
The Swarm
This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It -> I'm not 100% on this but I believe it did fit

I didn't get much reading in today due to a killer headache. It's a little better now but not enough. Had a ton of series books lined up for today too :/

I spent the weekend with dizziness/vertigo. I hate it when everything keeps spinning and buckling when it shouldn't. All because of an inadequate pair of glasses

I hope both of you ladies are feeling better today! Hopefully Wobble isn't turning everyone into the walking wounded. Or reading wounded due to the eye strain.

I'm much better! Still a little unbalanced, but at least the world has stilled.

And all because I thought it'd be okay to switch back to my previous pair of glasses (the current one got a big scratch on one of the lenses).

I'll read the bug book. The Spider Diaries is free on kindle and it's less than 200 pages. Although based on the ratings, I don't have high hopes for this book.

So I'm reading a cozy mystery right now where the MCs go to a new resort call the Flying Squirrel Lodge.

There should be bonus points for this. HAHA

I think there should too. You should suggest that when they do this again, if they use unique names like this, there is 1 bonus point given for the mention of any team name in a book read. That would make it fair, and a bit of extra fun.

"Last-ditch effort" is good for an idiom, isn't it? If so, it's in the book I'm currently reading Just a Geek: Unflinchingly honest tales of the search for life, love, and fulfillment beyond the Starship Enterprise. (at 36.9% so that I don't have to write that down anywhere else)

I just finished Rainshadow Road which has an idiom if we still need one, otherwise can be used as #2 in a series

Thinking about reareading last ones in Margaret Maron series since it goes to 19 and the two I am rereading now only go to #9

You meet a blacksmith named Kevdak. The Queen has ordered Kevdak to create a special sheild for her son's 8th birthday. The sheild will have the picture of an animal on the front. But Kevdak doesn't know what animal to use.

Sorry it is taking me awhile to get through my book The Bone Collector - hopefully tomorrow and we can get a new card 3

Finished The Last Free Cat. I don't recommend it. While the writing is decent, the plot is kinda dumb. They live in a dystopian society that, as far as I could tell, the only problem is that owning an unregistered cat is a serious criminal offence. So of course, with that seeming to be the only real restriction in the society, what do our genius characters proceed to do?

It's really quiet in here today.

I can read Barbary if we still need books with cats.

Am reading a #9 and then #10 book to finish up Weapon Level 10. Now that we're getting up in level, there are so many more books to read! Can't complain though. I'm leveling up my personal weapon for my RPG which is awesome :)

Tati, yes and yes. It doesn't say you have to be able to see the entire body of the animal or anything so that should work fine.
