OK, this is really driving me insane and I desperatly need some help *sigh*

There was this short story.. Im pretty sure it wasnt a book. But I absolutely cant remember anything usefull to find it again.

There was the female heroine (and Im pretty sure there was a child (sibling?) of her as well).
She was held against her will in this house (?) with all those brute guys (fighters). They needed her to provide something (blood?) to one of the male fighters (=hero of the story, some kind of monster/beast/shifter).
They were fighting against some kind of monsters (?) that were appearing out of rifts and errr...
then it gets pretty mushy in my memory ... *sigh*

I only remember that in the end she turned into something supernatural as well, if I remember correctly, something that was able to shoot beams of light/energy/whatever?

Im so totally lost but not being able to find the story is so driving me insane lol

I don't think that was a short story. I wish I could remember the name. I have read it before but I found it a bit uninteresting.

She gets taken essentially to provide one of them with blood, and its not sexy blood taking it fucking hurts and its brutal and nasty. Everyone in the place she is taken to is a complete asshole and her little sister is held hostage to ensure her cooperation. Its MEH.

Sounds like - the hero is a feral warrior. They are a group of animal shifters - lion, wolf, hawk, tiger, wolf, snake, etc.

The heroine is the Radiant and she provides the warriors with the powers they need to fight the Draeden - demons that feed of the feral warriors and those they protect.

From what I read of it it doesn't seem to be the one Im looking for o.o

But it does sound really interesting still, Ill definetly be looking into this =)

I really have to agree with Waffle it was to many lengths not that kind of "nice kidnapping" where the heroine is very much taken by the hero from the beginning.
It starts pretty dark and somehow they only find together in the end.

Its really strange, I fortally forgot about this book after reading it somewhere and just remembered it almost 2 years later lol

I guess a good enough job wasn't done in describing the book. Im having real trouble finding it myself.

Theres NO LOVE LOST between the heroine and her abductor. Shes a blood bank to him and nothing more, and that doesn't really change until the very end of the book.

I think it is Warrior's Lady by Madeline Baker.
