Katherine | 279 comments I just read My Boyfriend Merlin, I didn't like it at all, I found the plot weak and I didn't care if the characters lived or die. I gave it 1 star, which is sad because I wanted to like it - I really did, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Cecily Black | 173 comments Finished The Fame Game (Fame Game, #1) by Lauren Conrad on 07/18/16 I never watched anything that Lauren Conrad was in like The Hills or anything so I don't have that connection to it but I am a guilty pleasure watcher of reality t.v. so this book was like that but in print and I even found myself thinking about it long after I had started reading other books, that is always a good sign to me. I will definitely read the rest of the series!! Bring on the cat fights!! Rawwwr!!

I read The Year We Fell Down (The Ivy Years, #1) by Sarina Bowen and loved it. I also read Enslaved by the Ocean (Criminals of the Ocean, #1) by Bella Jewel and it fell a little short with me.

The recommendations are really good but I am trying to be good and read what I have. I plan on starting The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes . If I do feel the urge to buy, I would get Sugar Baby Beautiful by J.J. McAvoy and/or Nightshade (Nightshade #1; Nightshade World #4) by Andrea Cremer .

Zorina | 236 comments Danielle,

So far I read A Kiss to Remember and Charming the Highlander I would have liked to try more but there is so much one can read in a month.

Thank you!
Happy readings!!

message 171: by Nancy H (new)

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Pam,
I also finished Lighthouse Lighthouse (St. Simons Trilogy, #1) by Eugenia Price , and it was really good. I have been wanting to read it for a long time, especially since part of it is set in Savannah, Georgia, which is where my son lives. I will eventually read the next two in the series as well. I thought it was well-written, and told an absorbing story, apparently based on real life from what I could tell from the book.

I also have two others started, Witness in Death (In Death, #10) by J.D. Robb and Leave the Grave Green (Duncan Kincaid & Gemma James, #3) by Deborah Crombie , but I don't think I will get them done by month's end. I am enjoying them, though, and will read even more of your picks eventually.
Thanks for such good picks.

message 172: by Rachel C. (new)

Rachel C. (rachelus) | 611 comments Hi Suzanne,

For this month I finished:

Loved them all (5 stars all around)!! Thank you for the awesome picks. And I totally just realized you got to pick for me in August, too, so doubly thank you!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your picks! I love Roarke and Eve - I'm about 72% done with Creation in Death myself! I hope you enjoy the others if you get to them too. I finished Skating on Thin Ice: Seattle Sockeyes Hockey a couple of days ago and really liked it too - I need to go update the buddy read thread since I haven't done that yet. =)

I hope to get to it before the month is up but either way I'm going to get to it :) As for the In death series, I'm re-reading it from the beginning and then going right to the end or current book :)

MountainKat | 31602 comments Hi Jane, I think this will be the final update on my books for July. I read 7 of my picks and have 5 more of them selected for the next M&G! And I read one of the picks in June, because I'm bad like that. =) I was able to use the series rule for that one though.

Appealed by Emma Chase 6.30.16 - Very enjoyable!

Spellbound Falls by Janet Chapman 7.9.16 - Good story, but the narrator brought my enjoyment down a notch.

The Baller: A Down and Dirty Football Novel by Vi Keeland 7.11.16 - Really good story with good narration, even though the author made some pretty big football errors.

Eternity in Death by J.D. Robb 7.14.16 - Wonderful as usual!

Sidebarred by Emma Chase 7.14.16 (series rule) - Wonderful short addition to this series featuring my favorite couple of the trio!

The Countess Conspiracy by Courtney Milan 7.19.16 - I really liked this one, the heroine was awesome and the hero wasn't bad either!

Simon Says: Mine by Cherise Sinclair 7.22.16 - Sweet and that is weird to say about this kind of book. =P

Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston 7.22.16 - Lots of fun, but the series doesn't feel finished to me!

Skating on Thin Ice: Seattle Sockeyes Hockey by Jami Davenport 7.27.16 - I really liked this one and plan to continue with this series!

I have Blueberry Boys, The Lightning-Struck Heart, Red Dirt Heart, Perfect Imperfections and In a Dark Wood ready to go for the next two months. And a couple of the others in the wings for later too. Thanks for the amazing picks!! =)

I finished another of your picks, and loved it: Ladies' Night Ladies' Night by Mary Kay Andrews ! I just love her books, and this was no exception. I have had this one for a while, so thank you for the nudge to read it.

I have two more started but since the month ends tomorrow, I don't think I will finish them in time, even though I will finish them very soon.

Thanks for such great picks this month!
