Q: What's a community reading program?
A: A community reading program is a group of people coming together to read a book and share a common reading experience. They come in many shapes and sizes, in all sorts of communities. One Book One Walk is the 2016 community read program for Highlands Ranch, Colorado, sponsored by the James H. Larue branch of Douglas County Libraries.

Q: But what if I don't live in Colorado?
A: These days, community is a lot wider than just our neighbors, and friendships can spring up anywhere there's an internet connection. We welcome anyone who wants to share in this reading experience, no matter where you live.

Q: When does the Walk in the Woods readthrough take place?
A: We'll be reading A Walk in the Woods from June 27, 2016 through September 1, 2016. Readthrough topics are organized by chapter so you can read at your own pace. Please limit yourself to discussing content within (or prior to) that section to avoid spoilers.

Q: What about discussions of the book as a whole?
The book discussion thread is for those who have completed A Walk in the Woods. It's the place for general discussions and reactions. In this thread, you don't have to mark spoilers, or worry about which chapter something happened in to talk about it. (Perfect for re-readers!)

Q: What about the movie?
A: There is also a movie topic, where you can discuss anything and everything about the 2015 movie of A Walk in the Woods, starring Robert Redford. This includes page to screen comparisons.

Q: Any social topics?
A: Because this is a book about hiking and the outdoors, there are also threads to share your own outdoor experiences and hiking adventures. Please keep your stories clean and appropriate for all ages.

Q: What about for locals? Any extra stuff to know
A: For anyone in and around the Douglas County area, there is also a thread to get to know other Goodreads users who live locally. If you want to get to know locals who use Goodreads, this is the place for you!

Since this community reading program may take you far from your regular reading journey, you'll find readers of all ages and reading interests here.

How do I get out of this group?

For any Goodreads group, you can edit your membership, including leaving a group, with this process (described using the website):
- Select Community > Groups from the drop down menus.
- Click on the title of the Group whose membership you'd like to change.
- Underneath the description of the group, the last line reads, "You are a member. Edit Membership | Group info." Click on Edit Membership and the select "Leave this group" on the following screen.

I'm not sure if it's possible to leave a group from the mobile app, so if you have trouble, please let me know and as moderator I can remove you from the group manually as well.
