Mortal Instruments & Infernal Devices Lovers! discussion

There are these songs based on The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices! You might of heard them but they are called: Warrior and Skin & Bones. They are both by Beth Crowley. The song Warrior is based on The Mortal Instruments. And the song Skin & Bones is based on The Infernal Devices. Beth Crowley makes songs about books/movies, and she's in love with our book series! I just wanted you guys to know and those songs describes each series perfectly!

I've heard Warrior. People are trying to get it featured in City of Ashes, though I think it'd benefit a lot more in City of Glass due to all the action in Alicante.

There are other songs as well that relate to certain characters:

Poison and Wine by The Civil Wars - Sebastian and Clary's song. The lyrics speak for themselves.
Bad To The Bone by George Thorogood and The Destroyers - Sebastian's song. This is my choice of song I have picked out myself. I always listen to it when Sebastian appears in CoLS.
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2 - Another of Sebastian's songs, and again my choice.
Medicine by Daughter - Will's death song. I had this on endless repeat when reading the epilogue of Clockwork Princess.
Distance by Christina Perri - Will and Tessa's song.
The Words by Christina Perri - Another of Will and Tessa's songs.
All I Need by Radiohead - Clary and Jace's song.
Somewhere Only We Know by Keane - Simon and Isabelle's song.

Those are my song choices :) There are more, but …
The rhythm to these songs slot perfectly into the story (I listen to music when I read!) And you have to listen to the lyrics, too.

Clockwork Princess destroyed me! I'm re-reading them before CoHF and I've just started Clockwork Princess. Which I know is a terrible idea, since as I'm going to finish it practically the day before CoHF, and then I just won't be able to stop crying, and then I'll cry reading CoHF, and then I'll just have a heart attack or something …

But, yeah … I've heard they're resuming filming of CoA this year. Hopefully :)

I don't know how many times I read The Infernal Devices but cried every time when Will died! Yeah and I'm re-reading TMI so I'll be ready for CoHF! I too heard they resumed making CoA, hopefully it's more like the book! Unlike CoB.

I've never heard of Beth Crowley but I've just listened to the songs and they are beautiful, especially the skin and bones. can picture Will, Jem and Tessa all the way through.

I know. Medicine is pure gold! King by Lauren Aquilina is another good song as well. And Only Love Can Hurt Like This by Paloma Faith. And To Build a Home by The Cinematic Orchestra.

I just realised that 'I'm a mess' by Ed Sheeran is almost perfect for City Of Heavenly Fire. If you imagine it from Jace's perspective, it seems pretty accurate! Also, then song is just good anyway. Tell me if you guys agree! :)

I've been listening to Disney songs hoping to find a few that remind me of TID. I know it's kinda silly but I thought the song "I won't say I'm in love" is a good one for when Tessa is refusing to accept the feelings she has for will. It's not perfect but I'll keep looking for more! (Just picture Sophie, Magnus, and Woosley as the backup singers aka The Muses)

What about the song "A thousand Years"? I feel like it would be perfect for when Jem and Tessa are on the Blackfriars Bridge about to get married!!!!

"If I never knew you", a Pocahontas song. I reminds me of while Will and Tessa and trapped in the cavern in Wales.

I found a song that I would call the Morgenstern family theme song! The Family Jewels by Marina and The Diamonds. That's the name of her album also make sure your listening to the song and not the whole album

"So Far Away" Avenged Sevenfold. It reminds me of Tessa after Will dies.

Budapest by George Ezra is a Sizzy song.
Another Love by Tom Odell reminds me of Wessa.
Wings by Birdy is Clace's song.
Need You Now by Lady Antebellum is a Malec song.
Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap just reminds me of TMI all together. It gives me the chills!

One of my personal fav for City of Glass is Beside You by 5sos. It reminds me of Jace leaving Clary alone that night and going after Sebastian.

"Alone Is No Together" reminds me of when Jace and Clary were together, but not really together, because of the fact that he was not himself and he was going along with whatever Sebastian was saying and doing. There's a line in the Song that says,
"Are you happy with the state that we're in
Let this sunset so the night can begin
If I find out all the answers
Can I be part of your life
Alone is no together so
Let me stay just here tonight"
That WHOLE PART of the Song was sad in a way.

I think that "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri is Jem and Tessa's song. I think this song is perfect for their relationship. (Even though it is a Twilight song.)
