Mario's blank expression was answer enough.

Sam pulled her arm away, "it's the fourteenth of February," she looked his face over painfully.

It took Mario a minute before it clicked. "your birthday."

She nodded, "some birthday present," she wasn't loading Az. She turned to walk off again.

"Sam." he didn't know why he keep going after her, knowing she was mad at him. But he had a feeling that if he let her go then that would be it for them.

Sam looked at him, tears rolling down her cheeks, "if I lose Az because of your stupidity, then you will never see me or the kids again! Got it!? And I will personally send Az after you!" She threatened, "do I make myself clear, Mario!?"

"Yes." he nodded, "I'll put a stop to the experiment."

Sam nodded firmly, "you better!"

He nodded "I'm sorry Sam."

She shook her head, "I'll see you after work," she turned and brought Phoebe home.

Mario sighed and went back to the labs.
