I'm doing Republic of Thieves starting around Aug 15th if you're interesting in joining that group read.

I'll see gow I stand at the start of August. Like I said, I kind if want to ration these books out over a long period, but I also want to get in on some discussion. I'll more than likely start with you though - I've absolutely loved the first two books!

Sweet.
Sweet.
I half wonder if this is still coming out on the 22nd of September. There's no pre-order option on Amazon. The last update off of Lynch's site is from May and references the 9/22 release date but the link to pre-order from Orion publishing is an orphaned link.

:(
I don't mind authors taking long to write a book, but don't leave me expecting a book when it's not coming. I understand that things come up and everything gets pushed back, but it would be good to know as soon as that happens rather than set a publication date and change it at the last minute. If it's going to be later than Sept22, I'm guessing they would know by now. (I also understand this could be the publisher's fault and not Lynch's). It's one of the things I love about Brandon Sanderson and Michael J. Sullivan- you know what their schedules are like and they let everyone know when they are ahead and when they are behind.

Yes, I do remember that, but I didn't have to wait too long because I only read the first one 4 years ago.

So I re-checked several sources for Orbit releases and this book is nowhere to be found through the end of the year. I'm thinking I'm going to bag on it so I can do something else and I'll wait until it's actually released.

I've already read the first hundred pages so I'm going to finish it up but if you would prefer to wait no worries.

Should be sometime right after The Winds of Winter and before The Doors of Stone.

Yes for all my complaining about Sanderson Oathbringer will be out before all of them.

Hmm I just preordered on Amazon... Surely it would've come out by now if it weren't to be ready on time?

Are you in Europe? It's coming up unavailable everywhere in the states.

If I remember correctly, Margret is from the most beautiful country of Canada (sorry, I'm a bit biased) and I see a site come up to preorder, but when I click it, it leads me to Orion Books and tells me the ISBN is unavailable.

Yup, in Canada! I dunno I was successful in preordering on Amazon and it said I should get it delivered on release day

Normally I'd think this was correct. But it seems that Lynch's publishers have taken an "ignore it and it will go away" approach to waiting fans. I don't know if they're trying to avoid backlash like Martin and Rothfuss get for their excuses, or what. To me it's worse.

Yeah, it is worse because it leaves you expecting it when it's not coming.
