I would have loved to see Hagrid in school - 'trying to raise werewolf cubs under his bed'. Even though he's not traditionally smart, he has such compassion for animals and other people. Definitely an interesting juxtaposition against Tom Riddle being extremely smart but not compassionate at all.
I love how Tom Riddle is trying to yell at the basilisk to ignore the bird, but the snake is like 'screw you! this bird won't leave me alone!'.
